AN: I only realised I had made a mistake when I was writing my first book of the series, and Christmas came before they got the Warblers on the drug scandal. So this is Christmas 2013, before Rebastian officially existed

Christmas used to be one of my least favorite holidays. The only presents I really got were all these old junk toys that the system collected for charity. I would get some dumb plastic Barbie doll, or a book with the pages ripped out, or a stupid walkie talkie set with the talkie screeching everytime walkie talked. But since I moved to McKinely, Christmas became significantly better. Mostly because I had friends who stuck around term-to-term.
Ever since I moved to New York, I haven't had a lot of time to get in contact with my parents, so I had decided to come back and scare them. Okay, scaring may be a bit harsh, but you know me, I'm a practical jokster. Ryan was the easiest to scare, maybe because he was a bit more clueless than Charlotte? But he was always the perfect target.
My plan of attack was to hide behind the counter as he was refilling the straw jar. He had on his red cowboy hat with white trimming, he looked like fat Elvis dressed as a Christmas cowboy.
"BOO!"
"AH!" the straws flew everywhere, and we recieved some attention from customers. Ryan had a hand placed over his chest, panting.
"Reese, what do you think you're doing pulling a stunt like tha-Reese! You're home!" now he gets it. I rounded the counter and gave him a hug.
"Merry Christmas Ryan-woah. What happened to your hand-wait...don't tell me. The Christmas wreathe?" I asked, eyeing the white gauze wrapped around his palm.
"No, no, it was the lights this time." he replied. Ryan has a tendency to harm himself whenever he's putting up Christmas decorations. I find it odd yet...kind of funny.
"Well, where is everybody? I wanna surprise them." I told him.
"You pull what that same stunt again, the employees will drop dead." he said.
"I am not going to yell, jump, attack, or scream or anything lethal. Don't worry." I replied. Ryan nodded and led me into the kitchen. Three chefs were working away, one at the stove, one at the counter, another whisking cream in a blender. Charlotte was dropping off plates for the dishwasher to take care off.
"Merry Christmas!" I shouted. Everybody stopped what they were doing and turned to me. Charlotte was the first to react; she shrieked and engulfed me in a hug.
"Oh my God Reese! You're home! My baby girl is home!" she exclaimed. The other chefs and the dishwasher came up to greet me as well, first was Raphael, he was our sui chef.
"Welcome home Reese!" then after came Caroline whom was at the counter.
"We missed you so much!" and then the pastry chef, Julian.
"Merry Christmas Reese!" he was about to hug me, but I stopped him when I noticed his hands were covered in flower.
"Uh, flour hands." I said.
"Oh." he looked at his hands, then turned his palms up so he wouldn't get flour on my sweater when he hugged me. I decided to be a little devious though and reached into the flour bag, then took out a pinch and sprayed it into his hair. Luckily, he didn't notice.
"Hey, you're back. We need a waitress for the lunch rush." Bernie, the dishwasher said.
"Bernie! She just got back!" Charlotte scolded.
"No, no, I wanna work. Believe it or not, but I miss the terrible aprons." I told her.
"Hey, I designed those." Ryan said.
"Oh...did I say terrible? I meant...um...Charlotte?" I asked her.
"Nope, you walked right into that." she replied.
"Okay then, I'm gonna get an apron and start work. I love the apron Ryan." I said.
"Get to work Missy, we might even save you a brownie-in-a-mug." he said. Our brownies-in-mugs were amazing! I liked to put nutella on top of mine. I threw on the old apron and grabbed my pad and pen, then went over to the back table in the corner. The customer was leaning back in the chair and hiding his face with the menu.
"Hello there and Merry Christmas. Welcome to Lavek's Bar and Grill, my name is Reese and I'll be your waitress today. Huh, never thought I'd be http://www.wattpad.com/mystories?compose=true&id=85276341glad to say that phrase." I muttered the last part.
"Merry Christmas Ms. Lavek, nice to see you again." oh boy.
"Oh hey, look what the Grinch dragged in." I said to Sebastian. "Merry Christmas Smythe."
"You look good. Apron still fits I can see." was than an insult or a compliment?
"I hope that was supposed to be sweet. Otherwise you can get lost." I told him.
"Come on, it's Chrismtas. It's the time to be sweet to everybody." he replied, sitting up in his chair.
"Yeah, yeah, sweet shmeet. What can I get ya?" I asked.
"I'll take two hot chocolates." he replied.
"Two? Plastic Surgery comin' to join you?" I asked.
"No, I was hoping you would." what?
"Dapper-man-with-sweater-say what?" I asked him.
"Come on, it's Christmas, you just got home and you're working. You look kinda tired." he said. I only scoffed in response.
"You're one to talk, you made it to regionals and you should be working up a sweat after all that." I said.
"Alright listen, if you want to join me, than you can. But if not, I'll just take the one hot chocolate to go. Sound good?" he asked. I smirked and nodded.
"Alright, we'll see." I turned and headed back to the counter, slipping the order to Charlotte.
"You're friend the slushie-thrower has returned as I see." she said.
"Mm-hm, I need it quick. This one is good." I told her. She nodded and grabbed the mug, and started steaming the milk. When she was finished, I took the order and headed back to the table, leaving my apron behind the counter.
"Hot chocolate for Smythe." I said. He looked up from his phone, noticing the two mugs I had in my hands.
"Decided to join me after all?" he asked.
"I figured...it's Christmas, and I could use a break." I told him, setting the mugs on the table and sitting down.
