Jisung didn't feel nervous when he walked into The Underground that evening, Changbin didn't have the intention of getting into a fight and Chan was more determined than ever to win. All in all, the trio felt like nothing was wrong in their lives and although that wasn't true, the temporary bliss was enjoyable. The Underground wasn't the most accepting place and a display of an act that could be considered 'gay' wouldn't have ended well, but Jisung had managed to hold Changbin's hand on the way in without anyone causing a fuss, and he was relieved that Chan didn't mind him doing so.
"I'm going to go backstage now," Chan turned to the two once they'd reached the crowd that was beginning to form and stood near the back of it.
"Good luck, I'll cheer for you!" Jisung smiled at his boyfriend. He wanted nothing more than to give Chan a quick kiss, for good luck of course, but with all of the people around it wouldn't have been safe.
Chan chuckled, ruffling Jisung's hair, "thanks, baby," he said before disappearing into the crowd and finding his way backstage.
Changbin laughed, "does this make you a baby squirrel?" He asked, clearly amused with his own question, but Jisung merely rolled his eyes.
The two were content in the crowd for a while, simply swinging their hands back and forward between each other but not enough for anyone around them to notice. They smiled to themselves, overjoyed with the prospect of their new relationship, or at least, that was until Changbin noticed Felix. He was standing on the other side of the room, back leaning against the wall but he was staring in Changbin and Jisung's direction. "Hey, are you ok if I leave for a moment?" He asked Jisung.
Jisung's nerves usually would have spiked at such a question, but for once he found himself smiling and nodding. Changbin gave his hand a squeeze before letting go and rushing off to find Felix who had already moved from the place he had been standing. "Felix!" He shouted after running to catch up with him once he'd spotted the younger by the doors leading outside. Felix didn't look back or stop, so Changbin followed after him into the dark streets. "Felix," he said again, once they were out in the freezing winter air.
"What?" Felix spat, turning around to Changbin with a face full of fury. "Why are you even following me? You have a new friend now, you don't need me anymore, clearly. That's why you so easily replaced me with him, right?"
"No, that's not what happened," Changbin shook his head, "I was with him because...well, it doesn't matter but I didn't replace you with him, Lix. You're still my best friend, why are you so annoyed? You're the one who didn't follow me out of the funeral the other day."
"Because it was your brothers funeral!" Felix threw his hands up, "you shouldn't have left even if he was horrible to you because he was your family member."
"You don't understand, you have a good relationship with most of your family! I don't care if he was my family, he didn't act like it."
"This isn't about your brother though," Felix scoffed, "I'm not pissed because you left his funeral, I'm pissed because you left with Jisung and you haven't seen me since. You also came here with him tonight when going to The Underground every Friday is our thing!"
"I don't understand why you're so annoyed," Changbin mumbled.
"You're so oblivious to everything. It's because I love you!" Felix shouted before he realised what he was saying. His expressions softened as he came back to his senses but he looked horrified. "Not...not like that," he tried to take it back but he couldn't.
Changbin didn't believe his last sentence. He could see the pure horror on Felix's face and that wouldn't have been there if he meant it in a platonic way. "What do you mean, you love me?"
