Jisung had heard a lot about L.A. over the years, ranging from it being a city where stars are made and a city where gang violence peaked. The city was different from Jisung and Changbin's hometown. Jisung wasn't used to seeing so many cars on the road at one time or the many people walking down the streets in the middle of the day as if they didn't have jobs to attend to. Cody hadn't been the most helpful tour guide. He'd dropped Changbin and Jisung at the front door of their hotel, told them to settle in for a few days and he'd call them when everything was ready. Jisung wasn't upset that they didn't get a tour of the city, it was too much for him to deal with after a long flight and leaving Chan. All he wanted to do was sleep.
"Are you tired, squirrel?" Changbin asked, brushing a hand through Jisung's ruffled hair and noticing his eyes starting to droop. Jisung hadn't got much sleep on the aeroplane, he'd been too stressed but now he was ready to pass out. Changbin was the same. He didn't want to sleep if Jisung couldn't so he'd forced himself to stay awake on the plane ride. "Come on, we'll go find our hotel room, hm?" Changbin said, reaching for Jisung's hand and leading him into the hotel lobby. It was a five-star hotel and Jisung didn't think he'd ever been anywhere so high-class before. The walls were high and painted a royal blue, the carpet below his feet was white and fluffy as he tugged his suitcase along. He wondered how they kept it so clean with so many visitors. There weren't many people in the lobby, only a woman behind the desk and a few guests passing through.
"Hello, we have a room booked under the name Cody Hawkins?" Changbin asked the woman once they had reached the desk, following what Cody had told him to do before he rushed off for some business meeting.
After searching up the name on the computer, the lady nodded and took one of the keys off the wall hooks behind her, "room 237, sir. Please enjoy your stay," she smiled and Changbin politely nodded back.
"That's a lot of rooms," Jisung mumbled on their way to the elevator. Changbin chuckled as he let go of Jisung's hand and pressed the elevator button, his other hand holding the key and his suitcase's handle. When the elevator arrived, two middle-aged men in suits stepped out and nodded at Jisung and Changbin before exiting. They made Jisung feel out of place as if he didn't have the right to stay in such an expensive place but Changbin didn't seem concerned, happily wearing his baggy t-shirt and jeans. He pulled Jisung into the elevator when Jisung didn't move, still phased by the two men and too tired to realize the lift was about to shut.
There was some elevator music playing which Jisung didn't recall ever having heard back home. Where they lived was made up of small businesses or single floored shops and most of them got broken into or graffitied. Nobody had an elevator in their business except the library, but Jisung didn't remember the last time he went there and they definitely didn't play elevator music. "Groovy," Jisung giggled, letting his head fall against Changbin's shoulder as the elevator doors closed and they started to go up to the floor their room was on.
"Wow, you really are exhausted," Changbin chuckled, looking down at his boyfriend who was practically falling asleep on his shoulder, "I don't think you're even going to make it to the hotel room."
Jisung hummed in response, not having paid attention to what he said as his eyes fell closed. The elevator reached their floor with a 'ping' and Jisung jumped up, making Changbin laugh. They left the elevator with intertwined hands, pulling their suitcases after them and Jisung dragged his feet. Changbin found room number 237 and wasted no time unlocking the door as Jisung was back to leaning on his shoulder. The door unlocked and he pushed it open, allowing Jisung to enter as he said, "I'll take that," and took his suitcase out of his grip.
Jisung walked into the room like a zombie, his eyes finding the bed and nothing else before collapsing on the soft, white sheets and shutting his eyes again. "So comfy," he mumbled into the duvet.
