chapter 4

skylar's pov

when i walk in, blake immediately comes up to me and alejandro.

"hi, i'm blake," he says to alejandro.

alejandro shakes his hand. "i'm alejandro. nice to meet you."

blake shoots me a look. i feel bad, showing up with another boy when i told him that we might have a second chance.

"well, have fun you two," blake says walking away.

"i'll go get us a table," alejandro tells me.

"okay sure," i said and watching him walk away.

"skylar," trinity says walking up to me. "what are you doing here with alejandro?"

"he was at my door okay? it felt rude to not invite him," i tell her.

trinity sighs and reaches for my arm, "skyla-"

she stops completely and looks at me. she has fear in her eyes and her entire body freezes.

"trinity," i say shaking her. "trinity."

she finally snaps out of it and jumps back a little.

"i- when i touched you," trinity says stuttering, "i saw a crow, and a graveyard, and blood on your legs."

i widen my eyes and drop my mouth slightly. how did she know about all of that? just from touching me?

"i don't know. i'm tired. it's been a long day. i'm imagining things," trinity laughs.

"no that's exactly what happened to me this afternoo-"

"there you guys are," chloe says interrupting us. "why is alejandro sitting all alone? let's go accompany him."

she drags me and trinity to his table.

"so alejandro," chloe says, "why'd you move back?"

"i just felt like it was time to come back home," alejandro says.

he stared at me the entire time and smiles. i started blushing like crazy.

"where are you parents?"chloe asks.

"they uh... they passed away," alejandro says sadly.

my face drops. "oh my god i'm sorry about that."

"it's fine," he says.

"mine.. passed away too." i touch his forearm and he gives me another smile.

trinity's pov

okay its obvious skylar and alejandro like each other. anyone could see it.

it was getting late and we were gonna packing up to leave.

"alright bye guys," skylar says.

i get up and give everyone a goodbye hug, including alejandro. and that's when i saw it. the minute i made contact with him i had another.. vision. it was death, everything bad, but just plain darkness.

i jump back and start breathing heavily.

alejandros pov

trinity was acting weird. the moment she touched me i felt something but i don't know what. it was a familiar feeling. like magic. there's no way... trinity? magic?

"trinity are you okay?" skylar says touching her arm.

"uh yeah.. i just, got super dizzy," she lies.

and i know she lying. i can hear her heartbeat beating like crazy.

then all i heard was screaming outside from towards the woods. everyone rushes outside to see what was happening.

a body, laying on the dirt ground, with blood all over her neck.

"oh my god," blake says. "ava?"

skylar covers her mouth.

the blood. too much blood. it smells so sweet. and tasty.

there is another vampire in town.

"someone call the ambulance," chloe shouts.

"ava?" blake says, his voice shaking, "it's me in blake, your big brother. open your eyes."

i needed to get out here, so i ran away and head home.

"Zane?" i shout.

"alejandro ? what's going on?" Zane asks.

"another attack," i panic. "there's another vampire in town."

"alejandro you need to be careful. it have been 100 years ago but there are people here who still remember. you coming back? it was a mistake."

i sigh and head upstairs. i'm sorry skylar. i told myself i would change for you, so i can be with you. but it's been harder than i thought.

the moment i get to my room i see my window open. i left it closed.

a crow flies into my room and lands on the other side of the room. i stare at it. and then i felt something land on my balcony.

i turn around and saw my brother.

"hello brother," mattia smirks.
