The Fox that got Lost in the Clouds

For Her Smile

The bell to the academy could be heard far and wide as students and teachers made there way to the doors.

Shikamaru and a large boy were waiting by the front gates of the academy. Shikamaru was leaning against one of the thick poles with one of his foot up against it and his arms crossed.

He had a board look on his face as he gazed out in front of him. The large boy next to him had: brown ,fuzzy hair and chubby cheeks with swirls on them. His outfit was a simple white shirt and dark blue shorts.

His name was Choji Akamichi Heir to the Akamichi Clan.

His eyes were almost alawys closed, as he happily munched on his chips next to his best friend. They stood there quietly, watching the students and Chunins walk passed them.

The silence between them was broken by Shikamaru. "Ugh, what a drag." He groaned out, as he rolled his neck on his shoulders. Choji looked at Shikamaru. "Whats wrong? Naruto is always late, this should be no different right?" Choji asked as he slowed on his chewing.

Shikamaru sighed and then looked at the clouds. "Yeah thats true." Shikamaru said, as he looked at the clouds, he wanted nothing more than to get in his bed and sleep his days away.

"A few days ago she pulled a massive prank, and lord knows what it was that caused that massive ass dust cloud over there." Shikamaru explained as he jabbed his thumb in the direction of the shopping center.

Choji followed his thumb, over the top of the buildings, he could see the giant cloud. Choji's eyebrows turned up, he was worried about Naruto's punishment. 'Whatever it was that she did, it left a mighty big imprint.' Choji thought as he studied the cloud.

They were pulled from their thoughts when one of the Chunins noticed them. "You guys should start heading into the academy, whatever friend your waiting for will be in class soon." He said as he placed one of his hands on his hips.

Both Shikaramru and Choji looked at the chunin for a moment. The said Chunin was Mizuki. Shikamaru and Choji wasn't very found of Mizuki, Naruto always said that he was mean to her, and that she never wanted to be alone with him.

Both Shikamaru and Choji looked at each other. There minds both had the same thought process. 'He know that we're where waiting for Naruto.' They both nodded and looked back at Mizuki.

Mizuki was a white haired male, his hair was shoulder length, he had black beady eyes and a blue head band around his head that housed his forehead protector, that showed his village symbol, he had on the chunin vest and causal ninja wear.

"We'll stay here a little longer, Mizuki Sensei." Shikamaru said to Mizuki. He hated to call Mizuki 'sensei' but it was respectable as a student addressing a teacher. But if Shikamaru was just being his blunt self, he wouldnt even try to call him Sensei but he didnt want to cause Naruto any problems.

Choji next to him nodded. Mizuki had a kind smile on his face, his eyes easy going and kind. "Alright then, just make sure your not late okay?" He said, and waited for a response. They both silently nodded. And with that he walked away.

Once Mizuki was gone, Shikamaru muttered under his breath. "Fucking Pedophile Bastard." He muttered. There was no way in hell he was going to leave, just for Naruto to be greeted by that bastard at the gate alone.

Shikamaru thought as he now glared at the crowd in front of him, a new found determination to stay and wait for the girl.

Past the gate ,just a few feet away from the boys, stood Mizuki. He had a twisted look plastered on his face. 'Damn that Nara brat. He's too smart for his own fucking good.' He thought distasteful.
