Itachi's Scorn

Itachi's POV

Mother was always busy doing other things, so most of the time, Itachi was left to tend to Sasuke. For 7 years, he watched over Saskue.

Feeding him,

washing him,

watching him,

helping him go to sleep at night.

He was Sasukes mother and father.

He was the one who raised him, who helped him.

He was the one.

But it all changed when he joined the ANBU.

Itachi stood in the Hokage's office, his hands behind his back and his feet shoulder width apart. He was wearing his normal Ninja clothes, his family crest on his back. He stood at attention, waiting for the Hokage to address him.

The Hokage sat behind his desk, his hands laced together on his stomach, as he slouched back into his seat. His eyes studying Itachi.

On the desk, was black clothing, folded up neatly in between them. The Hokage took a light breath, before he began to address him.

"Itachi Uchiha, you will be assigned to Squad 14. Your captain will be Kakashi Hatake. And you will be assigned, co captain." The Hokage stated to the young Itachi. Behind the Hokage, a black blur appeared, revealing a slightly younger Kakashi.

He stood behind the Hokage, his arms crossed as he studied the young boy before him. Itachi studied him back. All was quite, before Kakashi spoke up. "Hmm, so this is the 'grate Uchiha Prodigy', that I've heard so much about."  He softly spoke aloud.

Itachi slightly perked up at this comment. "Hmm, well, he looks pretty promising." Kakashi said with a tilt of his head. Itachi steeled his resolve, and met his challenging look.

The Hokage gave a light chuckle at the young duo, his eyes closed and his head was slightly tilted down. He then looked up and peeked at Itachi. The young boy looked at the Hokage. "Hmm, well Kakashi what do you say?" The Hokage asked, as he turned his chair to looked at him.

Kakashi took a deep breath, his shoulders going up with the inhale. He was staring at Itachi. His eye read pity, as he stared at the young Uchiha.

This made Itachi square his shoulders out and hold his chin up. Kakashi raised a brow at this motion. "I am Itachi Uchiha, I may be young, but I'm powerful and wish to become a ninja. I want to fight for the people of the village and defend the weak. To work with my comrades and to establish peace among other countries." Came Itachi's introduction.

Itachi knew of the slight disdain against the Uchiha's. Not many people liked the Uchiha's, due to their police brutality. But Itachi wanted to prove to Kakashi, that not all Uchiha's were bad, and corrupted.

Kakashi gave the young boy a strange look. 'Obito, I thought that you were the only one but looking at this kid, he's proven to me that there were more of you out there.' Kakashi thought silently to himself.

Kakashi then closed his eyes, and bowed his head, then he turned around and began to climb back out the window.

Itachi watched this silently. Kakashi stopped on the ledge of the window, before he looked back at Itachi, and tossed him something. Itachi wathced as the small object glided through the air. He held out his palm to catch the small object. He looked down at the small object, before he steeled his eyes, and closed his fist around it. He then closed his eyes, and opened them once again. As he stared at Kakashi's back.
