(Val's pov)

I've always hated waking up early, I'm not a morning person at all.

I'd have to drink seventeen cups of coffee just to be awake

but here I am,

awake at 5am

Five in the morning

I nearly murdered nick when he was waking me, he's probably scared of me now.

I'd be scared of me too.

at least I packed all of the things last night, I can barley even think right now.

Before we left, charli and I went to Dunkin.

Luckily we both love coffee, but she drinks hella more than me

I only drink during mornings but she drinks it all day.

"Now that we're away from the girls and everyone else."

"I want you to be real with me." Charli said as she took a drink

"About what?" I asked nervously

"Do you actually see yourself dating nick?"

"I'm his friend and I- I just don't want to see him hurt again." She mumbled

"Again?"

"It's really complicated charli and he's aware of the situation im in, but I just want to be happy and I am with him." I said

"I'll let him tell you what happened, it isn't my place really."

"But I won't push on whatever it is because it seems personal, just d- don't hurt him please." She said sadly

"I promise I won't try to hurt him, I care for him deeply." I said

She smiled and said "I'm glad I finally got to talk to you about that, it's been bothering me."

"How's your coffee?" She asked

"Amazing, I typically go to Starbucks but they just do it better?" I said in a questioning tone

"Yes! They really do, finally someone that understands." She said excitedly

"We should get going before we're late for the flight." I said as I pulled out

Charli and I were just gonna go to the airport ourselves, everyone else went already.

Apparently nobody else needs coffee to function.

Charli and I talked as I drove to the airport

We all got first class seats, it was relaxing being able to lay back.

I sat next to Addison, her and I talked a bit.

I decided to get some sleep because the flight was going to be long.

2550 miles later..

Although I'd miss the experience in the Bahamas and Florida, I'm glad to be back.

I missed my siblings and mom.

I took an Uber home, they didn't know I'd be back today exactly.

Although I'd have to get testing done in a few days, I didn't worry about it.

I actually wanted to live, I wanted it to work.

the house was now done, I was excited to see it.

I quickly walked inside, I could hear music coming from the kitchen.

"Ma! I'm home." I yelled into the house

Our living room was decorated with green, a mix of the different shades.

I walked into the kitchen and saw red, mom has always had a red kitchen.

She quickly turned around from the stove

"Valia! You're back!" She said as she quickly ran up to me

"Yeah just arrived." I said as I sat down my suitcase

"Laila! Jack! Get down here." My mother yelled

I quickly heard running, as the twins ran downstairs

"Vali!" Laila screamed as she jumped on my leg

"I thought cookies were done." Jack said as he stomped away

"He's excited you're back, he's been asking nonstop." She said

"Vali, I show you you're room!" Laila said as she grabbed my hand and ran.

I quickly followed after

"These stairs are big." I mumbled

We finally got to a white door as Laila opened it

"Ta dah!" She said

My room was yellow, my favorite color

Seems mom did some ordering off amazon while I was gone.

I jumped on my bed "I missed you."

Laila giggled and ran away.

Jack stomped into my room and said "Do you like it?"

"Yeah bud." I said

"I helped mom pick out the rug." He said as he pointed to it

"My favorite part!" I said as he smiled

My phone went off

"Did you get home safely?" Nick

"Yeah, just got here." I replied

"Good, so when am I meeting your mother?" Nick

"Haha very funny, maybe eventually." I replied

"Tonight?" Nick

"You really want to meet her?" I replied

"She created you, so she must be amazing." Nick

"You can come for dinner." I replied

"What time?" Nick

"7, dress nice." I replied
