{16} tests

(Val's pov)

Although I was still hurt from yesterday, today is a new day.

Meaning I'd have to do to the hospital today.

I was worried but excited, I couldn't wait for this to start so it could end.

Pessimistic? Maybe.

But the quicker we do tests the sooner this is over and I'll be back to my normal life.

Well as normal as having cancer gets.

My skin was still rosy from the tan, it complimented my eyes.

I didn't dress up, I wore sweats and longer crop top.

My hair was thrown into a ponytail, with only a bit of mascara on my eyes.

My mother drove me to the hospital but couldn't stay, she had started work already.

The kids were in school, they were gone before I woke up.

It didn't take long to arrive at the hospital, mom got me checked in and I had to wait to be called back.

I decided to get coffee, I made sure to add the French vanilla creamer.

It took about ten minutes for my name to get called, my doctor walked me back into a room.

"Today is gonna be easy, taking blood and testing it with different things." He said

"Shouldn't take more than an hour, the tests will come back in 24 hours." he said as I sat down

"Has she eaten anything?" Griffin said

I shook my head, I forgot to get breakfast before

"I'll go check if we have anything, our kitchen is under repair right now." He said as he walked out

"What about your stay in patients?" I asked

"We get funding from donations and order them food from restaurants or anywhere."

"The kitchen needed upgrades." The female nurse said

"Oh cool, sorry breakfast slipped my mind before leaving." I mumbled

Griffin walked back into the room and said "there isn't anything, but I can go pick something up."

"Take the company card, Valia would you like to go with him?"

"It's not standard but I'm sure it'll be better than waiting in a hospital room." The doctor said

"uh sure." I said before getting up

we walked out to the parking lot, he clicked his keys and his car lit up.

"How can you afford this!" I asked

"Doing tiktok has some advantages." He said with a smirk

a g wagon in black, it'll take my entire life to afford that.

"Where do you want food from?" He asked as we got into the car

"I don't mind really, anything close." I said

"In and out? It's my favorite." He said

"I've been wanting to try that!" I said excitedly
