"Hey?!" Edward raised from the leather chair as Mari entered office."Hey back!" She smiled plunging her hands into her tight figure hugging jean pockets."Finished your shopping?" He fished for her thoughts, as he walked round the desk...she was good at wiping them clean..he heard nothing. "Damn!" He cursed aloud."What you damning?" She giggled."I thought you may give me some clues by thought...you're good!!" He wagged a finger at her and pulled her into a hug."Well I do try..." The smile faded as she placed her arms around his neck and leaned close for her cuddle.

They were interrupted by Emmett bringing in a customer. Breaking their hold."Oh..hey Mari...Edward, this is Mr Phillips. He's brought back the Sunracer." "Oh...yes! Of course. Please come take a seat Mr Phillips. Would you like a drink?" Edward was so attractive when he was in work mode."Um..no thanks..I'm just here to settle up?" He looked slightly nervous as he studied all their eyes..he'd never seen such a light shade of brown before. "Sure....let's just get your file" he rummaged through the cabinet retrieving the file. "Here it is...." Emmett shot a thought to Mari to join him outside. Which Edward must have heard.as he shot a glance at them both, but carried on talking to the customer.

"Yep?" Mari said closing the office door behind her."Did it arrive?" He whispered thinking of boats to mask his conversation in case Edward was listening."Yes! It's wonderful" she thought of boats too...just incase."Ok..I'm off home with Rosalea..you finishing up here?" He gave her the thumbs up."Yep...we'll be home about 7?" She gave the thumbs up too.The office door opened and Edward appeared with the male customer ...then shook his hand. "Thanks for using 'Cullens' ... Do come again." He smiled politely as the man nodded once and walked away."Another happy customer?" Mari said."Yep! He left a nice tip too..think he thought I was gonna eat him otherwise." "So ..." He said pulling her into his arms again. "You never told me what you bought me?""No I didn't did I? And I'm not going to tell you!...not yet anyway?!""You really are developing that Shield technique very well indeed..." He kissed her forehead."Am I?? Oh....good!" She lied.

The rest of the day at the office was non eventful..no new customers and Mari had washed down the 'Sundancer'. Jasper could do the inside tomorrow. They locked up for the day around 6:50 pm and headed for home. Mari drove as Edward looked a bit washed out.Arriving home everyone gathered in the living room. This was the bigger of the two rooms so it was the only place for the 'gift' to go."They're here..." Esme said and they all fell silent.

"Renesmee's here.." Edward smiled as they saw Jacobs bike outside...."Hello?!" Edward said stepping inside....usually there was a argument going on or TV or music blasting. Renesmee called from the living room "I'm in here Dad!" Edward turned his course and headed there..Mari followed close behind.As he entered the room the sight before him made him stagger back slightly...he looked round everyone and then turned back to Mari.They all chorused "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" How could he have forgotten??? "Happy Birthday Edward!" Mari said joining him by his side."Mari? Is...is that ...mine?" He stuttered looking back at his gift."Yep!" She wiped a tear from her eye. "Go ahead Edward...play for us?" Carlisle smiled offering him the black stool that sat In front of his own shiny black Grand Piano."It's just like my old one." He said stepping up to it and touching the polished surface."It is your old one...Mari had it sent up from storage in Forks" Alice squeeled."Mari...I...." He turned to her again teary eyed."Oh shush.....just play the damn thing?!" Mari said causing a ripple of laughter."How the heck did you keep this quiet?" He said wiping his eyes with the back of his hand. "With difficulty.." Emmett added "Now play dude!"He sat down on the stool and pulled it in closer. Renesmee placed her hands on each of his shoulders, which he touched with his left hand briefly.He knew what she wanted him to play...He went straight into 'Renesmee's Lullaby' everyone exchanged a tender look. They all knew how he used to love playing it to her..She kissed the top of his head. "Happy Birthday Dad"
