Abby's POV...

I woke up in bed, there was something around my ears and under my nose. I picked up my hand and felt what was under my nose, it was a tube. I opened my eyes, I looked around, Adam was in a chair in the corner of the room, his head in his hand. He was asleep. I sat up a bit, my chest hurt. I coughed, Adam woke up and looked up at me. He got up and walked over to me.

"Relax, take a deep breath." Adam grabbed my arm.
I looked at him, "what happened?" I asked.
"You had an asthma attack," Adam said.
"What?" I asked.
"Dr.Hayes said you weren't breathing well so he put a mask to help you breathe, but I guess the mask was irritating you, so he put a cannula on." He explained.

I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. I grabbed Adam's hand and squeezed it a little.

"Has this happened before?" He asked.
"No, never. I thought I grew out of my asthma when I was younger." I said.
"We usually don't find people like us with any medical problems, you kind of scared me." He said.
"I'm sorry." I looked at him apologetically.
"Don't be, you didn't know." He said.
"But now I know if your about to have an attack, your lips start turning blue." He said.

I sighed, I took off the cannula.

"Abby.." Adam started.
"I don't need it, I'm ok." I looked up at him.
"Your stubborn, aren't you?" He asked.
"Yup," I said.
"Damn." He said.

I smiled at him, he held his head to mine.

"What about your meeting?" I asked.

He looked at his watch.

"I've got half an hour till I have to go, I should get ready, I would rather stay with you, but this is mandatory." He said.
"You're alpha, don't you make the rules?" I asked.
"Mostly, but this meeting is with some elders from the pack that came into town, I have to do it today." He said.
"That's alright, go get ready, I'll go find Jade, hang out with her while you're gone," I said.
"Nope, I'm walking you to her room, I want you with someone until you get your asthma controlled." He said.
"Fine," I slipped a hoodie on and stood up.
"Let's go then." I smiled at him.

He smiled at me and stood up, he grabbed my hand and we walked out. He led the way since I had no idea where I was going. We came up to a room, Jade opened the door.

"Hey! You scared me half to death!" Jade pulled me into a hug.
"I'm sorry, I didn't even realize I still had asthma, it never gave me a problem till now," I said.
"What are you doing here?" She asked pulling away.
"I have a meeting to go to and I didn't want her left alone, can you stay with her till I get back?" Adam asked.
"Yeah, we'll probably end up in the living room binging something on Netflix or something," Jade said, wrapping her arms around my shoulders.

I smiled.

"Go to your meeting, I'll see you afterward," I told him.

Adam kissed me and walked down the hall. I turned to Jade.

"Movie marathon?" She asked.
"Ice cream for snacks?" I asked.
"Let's go." Jade linked her arm with mine and we walked downstairs.

I got tired halfway down and stopped.

"You ok?" Jade turned to me.
"Yeah, just the stairs," I said, trying to catch my breath.
"Catch your breath and then hop on my back, I'll carry you the rest of the way." She said.

I nodded, after taking a few deep breaths, I got on Jades back and she walked the rest of the way. When we got to the first floor, I walked to the living room and sat on the couch while Jade went to the kitchen and grabbed ice cream and spoons. I felt the pain in my chest subside as Jade walked back.
