"I figured that you didn't have food for dinner, so that's why we drop by with pizzas", said Kuroo with his smirk. "and a bunch of boys too~ Don't tell me you're trying to set me up..." I spat at him. Both of us are in the kitchen, fetching glasses and mugs for the drinks Kuroo brought.
"Hey, it's been a while you're here and you don't even have a boyfriend. I'm trying to help you here~ or are you waiting for me to swoop you instead?" He closed the cabinets and turned to me, closing the gap between us until we were dangerously face-to-face. And he still got that smirk, while caging me with both of his hands beside me while I was trapped, back on the island and facing Kuroo.
"Don't even dream, Kuroo. You know it yourself, she wouldn't fall for you. And she's not waiting for anyone, right?" A calm, mellow voice broke our eye-contact. Thus, breaking me free of Kuroo and earning a 'tch' from him. Kai was standing while smiling at the door of the kitchen, followed by Yaku hidden behind him. Then, Yaku added "Even you don't have a girlfriend Kuroo, so just shut up~"
"Whatever, you two. You guys just disturbed my talk with the kitten" I only glared at him. "Shut up, you pesky one-eyed cat". "Take that back, Y/n. Or you're carrying the glasses and mugs alone...". "I'm the owner of the house, Kuroo. So, how about YOU carry it?" I happily skipped outside to the living room, following Kai and Yaku, meeting the boys happily chatting among each other while shoving the foods up their throats. But then, both of them abruptly stopped.
"Hm, is it just me... or there are more people than expected?" Kai suddenly spoke while looking at Yaku. "Why are you shocked by the numbers when actually YOU guys are the ones that brought all these ball-slappers?" I voiced out and earning chuckles from both of them. "Sorry, Y/n. But you looked like you need some company. And by some, is the whole team of Nekoma and Fukurodani" Kuroo interrupted us from behind, carrying all the mugs and glasses alone.
"Oi! Bokuto, come and help Kuroo with the glasses since you guys came UNINVITED~" I highlighted the last word while looking at Bokuto. Apparently, they are playing 'spin the bottle' and I kinda ruined their game as Sarukui and Konoha huffed and turned to me. "Hehe, sorry boys. I like you guys for coming here" I said while shooting finger hearts at them, earning waves of laughter from them.
Bokuto stood up, and walked towards me while shouting his typical 'Hey, hey, heyyy~' He ruffled my hair and said "and we love you too, for letting us come to your place...", then proceeds to help his bro carry the glasses and mugs to the table. I sat on the sofa, while the others are simultaneously filling their glasses with drinks. Kuroo brought me a slice of Hawaiian Chicken pizza and sat beside me.
"Don't wait for us to come to you all the time. Just call us, and we'll keep you company" Kuroo said while shifting around to sit properly beside me, while Bucky waited for him to be comfy before landing on his lap to sleep.
"Whatever, pesky one-eyed cat."
...
"Y/n, we're staying at your place tonight. It's too late to catch a cab or the train."
"Seriously, you guys. Breakfast on you guys."
"Thanks, Y/n. Let me sing a song to convey my thanks to you"
"Shut up, Konoha! And Akaashi, can you help me with Kuroo and Bucky? I need to take out the extra futon and pillows..."
Kuroo was fast asleep, with Bucky on his lap and his head on top of my head. Sucks to be short, instead of my shoulder, it was my head that became a pillow for him. Akaashi helped me put Kuroo on the couch, lying with Bucky on his stomach. As I stood up, Akaashi followed me and stretched a bit. "I'll help with the futon and pillows. Considering the number, it'll be hard to do alone." I just smiled at him, warmed by his kindness. We both get past the sea of snores. Most of them are sleeping on the floor and couch. "Okay, the futons are in my room. So let's go before they become noisy due to back pain tomorrow."
As we arrived at my room, I noticed that the door was slightly ajar with my nightlight turned on. "Wait here," Akaashi said as he pushed the door bigger, revealing Lev's dangling limbs on my bed.
"So this is where he is!" I silently shouted, wanting to drag his head out of my bed when Akaashi stopped me. "Don't wake him just yet, or he'll wake up the others. Let's put out the futon for them first and wake Lev last. It's easier that way. And we'll ask Kuroo for help" Akaashi whispered to me, halting my hands from pulling Lev's hair out of its roots.
"Fine..."
We opened the cabinet, revealing lots of blanket and pillows with futon also. I actually had only two pairs of futon, until the Nekoma boys pulled me to a shop to buy extra futon so that they can stay overnight at my house. It costs me a fortune at that time, but then they stayed for a week at my place and bought groceries for the full week. After we brought the first batch down to the living room, Akaashi pushed the coffee table and asked me to put out the futon in that area. Then, he went upstairs to bring more, while I prepare the futon and wake the boys one by one to tell them to sleep in the futon. It went smoothly until the last three futon, each for Akaashi, Kuroo, and Lev.
"Kuroo, wake up and pick your kitten off my bed~" I whisper-shouted on his ear. He then woke up, looked at me in the eyes, and said "but you're still here. I don't have any other kitten than you..."
"I don't have time for this, Kuroo. Lev's at my bed and I want to sleep. Help me or I'll ask Kenmato annoy you for the next few days."
"Geez, okay~ Man, you don't have a knack on how to wake a guy"
Irk marks appeared on my forehead. He then rushed to my bedroom and pulled Lev downstairs, with the help of Akaashi. After safely putting Lev to bed (again), Akaashi went to his futon beside the Fukurodani's captain and Kuroo went to the couch back.
"Kuroo... there's a futon for you here." He just blinked at me, dumbfounded. "I thought you're letting me sleep on the couch tonight? My kitten's so sweet..." He purred at me while walking to the futon I laid, right beside to where I was sitting at the moment. He tucked himself and looked at me, "bedtime kiss??"
"What are you? Ten?!" I smacked his forehead and stood up to pick Bucky from the couch. He was still wincing from the pain when I sat back beside his futon. I put Bucky under the blanket, beside him. Bucky stretched for a bit before going to sleep.
"Goodnight, Kuroo..." I said while rubbing his previously-smacked forehead. I stood up and walked to the stairs up to my room when I heard a soft "Sweet dreams" from him.
"Hmmm..." and up I went to my bedroom.
Ironically, for a bed that's used by that beanpole to sleep, it was somehow neat. The blanket was pulled back and my pillow is on the bed, instead of the floor. I just smiled softly before tucking myself to the bed... slowly whispering,
"Sweet dreams too...."
