A Thing, Beyond Forever

Some moments in life are so precious we don't even feel like blinking our eyes away because of the fear that if we do, we wonder if they would go away. We wish to hold those moments forever. Those moments can be some deep conversations, an eye contact that makes you wish you could pause time to stare in them a little more. Watching sunsets, sunrise, gazing stars and one of my favorite - going onto the topmost floor of a skyscraper and seeing the city light up at night. These moments once felt are not easy to forget. 

My mum was still in Kuwait so I had some freedom in spending time with my friends in the park. Me, Noor, Huda, Zeenath, Khadija, Aisha, Nouman, Yazan, and Talha. We did almost everything together. We all were now sitting in a circle, chitchatting about life after graduation. Until Yazan dropped a bomb. 

"Zuki On a scale of 1 to 10 how much are you looking forward to spending your life in Kuwait?"

"Who? Who is going to Kuwait?", everyone asked in unison. 

I shut my eyes closed and cursed myself and then Yazan for spitting this out. Well, in the first place, I didn't even ask him not to say this to anyone. Stupid me. 

When our eyes met, I mouthed, "NO!", He smirked back and then directed the topic saying, "I meant if at all she is deciding to go to Kuwait during the holidays". 

I breathed relief.

Noor kept the bottle in between the circle as she clasped her hands and said, "C'mon Guys, let's play truth & dare. The rule here is if you choose to dare thrice, you will have to choose the truth next. Everybody clear?"

"Alright!", Everyone said, except me.

"What? That's not fair! We have the right to choose anything, any number of times!" I declined the one rule Noor kept.

I personally hated playing this game. I didn't know why but, each time I played this game I'd chose to dare only. I know I could also lie but that won't be fair to other people who speak the truth.

"Zukroof!, You're the only one nagging about it! Nobody has issues," Noor rolled her eyes at me

"Um...okay, then" I shrugged. Only God knew how today's day was going to end after this game.

The first round of the bottle.

I didn't know if everyone planned on sitting like they were seated or it was just random. I was sitting beside Nouman

It pointed to Aisha and Yazan was opposite to her.

"Truth or dare?", He asked smirking as if he had already rehearsed what he wanted to ask. 

"Truth", She said.

"What makes Talha different from other boys?" 

She smiled as she looked at Talha beside her, "um...the fact that He doesn't always talk about cars, gaming and etc stuff that boys talk about every time!" 

We laughed at her response.

Next round.

It pointed to Nouman and Noor was the one who'd ask him the question.

"Truth or dare?", She asked him and then she winked at me. I blushed. Faisal whispered something to her ear and she giggled. I cocked my eyebrow up. I didn't know what evil was cooking in their brains

"Dare", He said.

"You have to kiss Zukroof"

"Wait, what? Are you insane?" I asked looking at Noor and then back at Nouman because he wasn't responding back with anything about it.
