I made my way back to the gym, praying that nobody had noticed that I was gone for a while or that a certain somebody was missing. By the time I entered the gym, I realized that there were two somebody's missing, but everybody was too busy with their warmup laps to even notice.

After helping put up the poles, I passed out balls to help with basic warm up drills. Double trouble managed to walk in at the same time, both in the green shirt, and both carrying the nets.

They looked eerily similar, but I could easily tell that the one on the right was Ariana and the one on the left was Adriana. The one thing that really threw me off was that neither of them had a mark on their neck.

I shook my head, trying to focus instead of thinking about the twins like I always seemed to do. I couldn't let them distract me this practice because coach was picking the lineup.

Adriana came over to me with a smirk on her face while her sister went to be with Jordan, though she managed to get a wink in before she walked off.

"Hey," Adriana teased before grabbing her ball and nodding to the empty spot in the gym. "Warm up with me?"

"Of course," I nervously rubbed the back of my neck.

"Warm up your serve. Coach wants us to do a tournament today to determine who plays at the game."

I nodded at hit the ball towards her with a simple underhand serve.

"Okay now give it more power, and when I hit it back, try to spike it down. I know that you mostly serve, but you can never be too prepared."

I caught the ball after she tossed it back to me and rolled my shoulders. My right hand forced the ball out towards her, and my stance changed the second the ball was airborne, ready to spike it back down.

The ball hit the ground and bounced, hitting me in face.

Laughter was my initial reaction. When I don't know how to handle the situation, I always laugh at myself. Hitting myself in the face with a ball in front of my best friend who I had a crush on? Unseen territory. The only option was to laugh.

She looked at me strangely, and I could feel other's eyes on me. I kept laughing.

Of course this would happen to me.

She joined in, and we had to sit on the floor to catch our breath.

"I thought you hurt yourself!" She hit my arm.

"I was fine! That was hilarious."

"It was not funny! I thought you got hurt!"

"Then why were you laughing?"

She stayed silent for a second before breaking out in laughter again. "How did you manage to hit yourself with the ball?"

"It is a talent that I will never share. A magician never reveals her secrets."

"You're such a dork. Now get up and tell Ariana you're finishing warmups with her. Every time I even look at you, I lose it." She pushed me away as she began to laugh again.

I stood up and rolled my eyes as I walked off, a smile plastered on my face.

"Addy says I'm finishing warmups with you. She can't deal with me apparently." I laughed and looked towards Ariana.

A blush crept up her cheeks before she nodded her head. "Okay." She turned to Jordan to whisper something before her friend took off in the other direction.
