Lunch

And here I was.

Standing in the middle of the lunch cafeteria, looking for Candace.

I didn't have anything to contact her with so all I could do was stand around and hope that she'd see me.

"Issy!"

I turn around and see Candace running towards me with at least 5 books underneath her arm that was tightly wrapped across her chest.

"Sorry. I had to get some books." She panted.

I smiled and nodded my head as I follow her to a lunch table.

We both sat down and she immediately scattered her books across the table.

"What are they about? Oh, sorry... I don't mean to invade your personal-"

"Hey, hey Issy, it's okay! Don't worry. It's about physical education. I have this upcoming test and I have to study."

"But you're new?-"

"Oh, did I not mention? I do dance out of school." She giggled as I lower my head in embarrassment.

Of course it's out of school you idiot!

"Um... Issy, do you think I can get your phone number or snapchat?" Candace asks shyly.

"Of course!" I quickly pull out my phone as I open Snapchat and hand my phone over so she could add herself.

"Oh damn Issy, we really have to get your snapscore up! I mean dude, you only have one person on your best friend list. How about I shout you out?" Candace hands back my phone as she begins to type really fast.

"Oh no, it's okay, really." I tried to refuse but Candace had already took a picture with me and posted it whilst tagging me.

I wasn't used to the attention...

How would I manage if people actually decided to add me.

"I'm sorry Issy if I made you uncomfortable." Candace frowns as she pushes her phone onto the table. "I tend to get carried away."

Shoot, I made it obvious how uncomfortable I felt!

"No, no it's fine Candace... It's just I'm not used to the attention."

Candace nods as my phone notification goes off.

That's unusual.
