After School

As soon as the final bell rang, I quickly grabbed my stuff as I rushed out the classroom into the flood of students that were also trying to leave as soon as possible.

Once I made it outside, I took a moment to bend down and grip onto my thighs as I let out the deep breath I held in without even realising that I actually held it in the first place.

It took me a while to finally realise that almost everybody had left and I was soon to be the only one at school if I didn't hurry and leave.

I quickly glance up at the sky and hope that it wouldn't rain.

For some reason, I decided that it would be a good day to walk home since it was the first day back. Obviously that was stupid of me.

The walk from here to my house was a good 15 minutes, almost 20 if you roughly estimated it.

I never imagined that the first day back to school would drain all my energy.

Groaning, I begin to walk towards my house as I adjusted my bag every 10 seconds, feeling the need to just fix it even if it was perfectly fine.

Of course I felt the need to just fidget with something and that something just had to be my school bag.

After 20 minutes of walking which felt like hours, I finally made it to my humble home.

I looked down the street before I entered the house just to see if my mum's car was there which it was.

Good to know that she was home for once.
