Carrots
My eyes widened as I watched my phone blow up with Snapchat notifications. People were actually adding me.
I guess my little glow up during the holidays did help after all.
A part of me couldn't help but like the attention. Maybe, just maybe...
No. Absolutely not.
"Wow Issy, it's almost as if you're a celebrity." Candace giggled. I smiled at her as I added everybody back.
It wasn't that I didn't have people on my Snapchat, I actually had a lot of people from our school. I even dare to say that I have that Brandon Gray, but that was because I added back whoever added me.
So it was most likely him adding me from quick add.
"Issy, here." Candace reached out a small bag of carrots. "Take one. You haven't ate anything."
"Oh... It's okay." I tried to refuse but when she insisted, I finally gave in once again and took a carrot.
It was the first time somebody cared about me eating.
Of course, my best friend would normally ask me if I ate but I would always lie. I didn't want her to worry about me.
"Thanks Candace." I sigh as I smile at her.
At first she was surprised but she soon smiled back. "Of course, Issy! We're practically best friends." Candace winked as she nudged me causing me to giggle.
