Aya's POV
"Where are we, Bubbles?" I asked my koalaotter, who was chasing down a squirrel as I was walking around the mysterious island I woke up on. I was so confused on why I'm here and don't know why I'm here. "Maybe I'm in the Spirit World." I said, but I remembered Bubbles and stopped. "But you can see me. Maybe we're in the Spirit World together." I paused and firebended which answered everything. "Nope, my bending works." I continued forward and saw a hilltop; Bubbles pointed to it. "Let's see, if we climb to the top of the island we can try to figure out where we are. Maybe Aang's here..."
I hope Aang's okay.
——
I continued to walk around the forest and I approached a large hexagon shaped platform with a fire symbol on it. I stepped on it and I immediately felt a strange feeling as I made contact, but it was good feeling.
"It's a hexagon." I smile and Bubbles hops off me, curling herself up. I touched the platform and it wasn't normal rock. "It doesn't seem like normal rock. I wish Toph was here to test it out." I shrug and sit down next to Bubbles. "This is so weird. I wish I had some help right now, so I can tell Aang what to do. I wish I had Sapphire..." I gasped when I remembered. "Wait! I do have Sapphire!" I shut my eyes, taking a deep breath and start to meditate.
I felt connected to the Spirit World and my eyes opened to see Sapphire's spirit before me.
"You're right, Aya." She tells me, "All the past Fire Angels, all their experience and wisdom, is available to you if you look deep inside yourself."
"So, where am I?" I asked her. "What is this place?"
Sapphire looked around with confusion. "I don't know. But I see you are lost in more ways than one at the moment."
I nodded. "It's Aang. He's confused on what to do with Ozai and doesn't know what to do once he faces him. I want to help him, but I don't know what to do."
"It's the Avatar's job to face the Firelord, not yours." She remarked.
"But I'm still his angel and I'm here to assist him." I objected. "Everyone expects Aang to take out the Firelord, but he isn't sure if he can do that."
"In my life with Roku, we both tried to be disciplined and show restraint, but it backfired when Firelord Sozin took advantage of that restraint and mercy. If we had been more decisive and acted sooner, Roku could have stopped Sozin and stopped the war before it started. So, I offer you this wisdom, Aya: Aang must be decisive."
Sapphire vanished after that and I sighed, hanging my head.
——
"Fire Angel Daruka, I need your wisdom."
My eyes opened and I saw Fire Angel Daruka's spirit appear in front of me.
"In my day, Chin the Conqueror threatened to throw the world out of balance. Avatar Kyoshi stopped him. And the world entered a great era of peace." Daruka explained to me.
"She didn't really kill Chin. He actually fell to his own death because he was too stubborn to get out of the way and he fell into lava." I reasoned with him.
"Personally, I don't really see the difference, but I assure you, she would have done whatever it took to stop Chin. I offer you this wisdom, Aya: Only justice will bring peace."
He vanished after that and I sighed.
"I knew I should not have asked Daruka. He's as stumbled as a rock."
——
I was getting irritated with myself and the Fire spirits I was contacting. I had to look deeper inside myself and find the true meaning of wisdom.
