AFTER THEIR IMPROMPTU PHOTOSHOOT,Calliope, Donna, and Zendaya were heading towards Zendaya's house to prepare for their night together. Each girl carried a heavy load of two recyclable shopping bags worth of snacks they picked up at the local grocery store.
Almost two blocks away from Zendaya's luxurious house, the girls sang loudly and stopped frequently to take pictures, making their five-minute walk longer by the minute. Thankfully, no paparazzi were around, trying to harass Zendaya for a couple of pictures.
As the girls continued to walk, Calliope found herself behind the two as always. She was always the slower one out of the group of friends. As the other two preferred to walk briskly with their long slim legs, Calliope Rose took her time enjoying nature as her attention frequently shifted from one thing to another.
The yellow ball of fire changed to hues of orange, and then almost tangerine sky captured her attention.
It merged with the sky, like juice-mix dissolving in a glass of water. The clouds were like cotton candy. Silhouettes of birds flew home across the sky that transformed into a beautiful magenta color.
"Earth to Callie?"
She snapped her eyes looking at her best friend. She smiled slightly and started walking faster to catch up with them, just as the house came into view.
"Yes?"
She replied with her voice calm and collected. She playfully winked at Donna as she continued to talk about some boy, Calliope already droning out the conversation again before it picked up again.
As the girls arrived at Zendaya's door, The actress was quick to grab the keys out of her pocket to unlock the door. Calliope was the first one to enter, flicking on the light switch and collapsed on the couch in exhaustion.
Her two other friends trailed in behind her, rolling their eyes at the sight of their fatigued friend.
"Get up, the guys will be here soon," Zendaya yelled from the kitchen as Donna sat down on the couch with Calliope, who was aimlessly scrolling through Instagram.
"You know I was joking about inviting other people!" she groaned, shoving the pillow in her face.
