I am practically waiting...WAITING! Which is hard to believe because I am an impatient human being and look, it's 6:50 in the morning and only 18 showed up, where's the other 12? I'm with Nikka, Edna, Shyra and MC but where's Elsie? Seriously, it's almost seven and where the hell is everybody? Aren't they interested? This field trip sucks!
"Okay everyone, we'll leave at 7:30 and I know what I said yesterday but I can't bring only 18 students to Bray institute since they expected many and we're part of the special program. So the least we can do is to wait but of course, those who came on time, expect a good grade this semester." Mr. T explains then Rey arrives.
"Where have you been Mr. Villanueva?" Mr T asks
"Well Sir, it's because of the sign" Rey pants
"What does a sign have to do with your being late?"
"The one that says, 'School Ahead, Go Slow.' sign"
Rey runs and leaves Mr. T dumbfounded.
I see Elsie has arrive too and she really looks depressed. She comes to us and immediately cries on Edna's shoulder. Oooh...Must have been a tough day.
"What happened?" Edna asks
"Dave!" Elsie sobs
"What about him?" Nikka adds
"What did he do?" MC asks
"He-he..." She sniffs "I-I..then.." She sobs like a little girl.
"Snap out of it. Did he hurt you? Just say the magic word hon, and I'm on it" Shyra adds
"I-I..." Elsie sniffs and holds Shyra's arms. In return, Shyra grips her shoulders to balance her out "I thought I'm the only one!" Elsie exclaims
Slowly, she covers her face and cries again. I so need an anti-drama spray right now.
"Just as I expected." Shyra let goes Elsie "He's an asshole" Shyra adds.
"You said the A word!" MC gasps
"When I see him, I'm going to twist his neck, dislocate his cervical vertebrae, break his vertebral disks and rip the ligaments attached to his stupid bone structure-" I cut her off
"How threatening" I tease. "Funny how that sounds, as if Dave understands that. Just say you want to crush his neck period." I add.
"You know Shyra, violence isn't the only solution" Edna kneels down and takes Elsie's hands off her sobbing face. "It's okay Elsie, just forget about Dave. Besides, you're way too good for him. You're pretty and young, it's not hard to find another one. Stand up and let me see that pretty face again." Edna finishes with a smile and a single pat on Elsie's back.
How touching. Let's give them a round of applause (Clap...Clap...Clap) I see others have arrive also thank you very much but we're still incomplete. Mr. T instructs us to have a buddy partner and I choose Nikka. Bob is staring at us again with his owl-like eyes, it's disturbing. He is short, brown skinned and has spiky hair. I call him "the hedgehog" because he's also as annoying as my pet Rodgers the hedgehog
You see, Rodgers gives me death stares and snorts all the time which I have then correlated with Bob here. It is upsetting because I love my Rodgers and its just sad because I got a one sided relationship with my pet and I hate it!
We climb the bus. The last one in is a rotten egg and that's, of course Mr. T
"Let's have a short prayer before we leave. Andrea, can you do us the favor" He asks
We all bow our heads and contemplate the prayer. Some closes their eyes like Edna. Andrea is a girl who likes to gossip.
"Amen!" Edna says loudly.
