July 5th, 11:00.
Central Park, New York.

Melissa Shield knew that her now double life would force her to keep it natural in front of the public eye, but, two days after her last incursion, she was still finding it more difficult than usual. At that moment, she tried to focus on her running across the green environment of the biggest and most famous park in the world, but it was in vain. Melissa was wearing sky blue shorts and white Adidas, but she knew the people who saw her would be wondering who would be that crazy girl jogging in a tight green sweater in midsummer. Heat was killing her, but exposing the bandages of her wounded shoulder was far from a good idea to her.

She felt frustrated about what happened at the concert. Obviously, she was no fool and hadn't expected to bring the Hero Killer down on her own. The plan consisted of saving Renegade, distracting Stain until some help arrived and getting away from there without being seen. And she would have succeeded, but she wasn't expecting to meet Japanese heroes there, let alone the Big Three. The discovery of David Shield's daughter acting as a vigilante armed with I-Expo's equipment must have blown their minds.

"And Uncle All Might's as well..."  she bitterly thought. She didn't know what she was going to tell him when they met in a few days.

"MISS SHIELD! I FINALLY FOUND YOU!"

"Oh no..."

When Melissa spotted the young man who run towards her as he waved his hand, she froze, and a mix of surprise, embarrassment and terror invaded her, making impossible for her to think clearly. In a flash, the girl put on the green hood of her sweater and started to sprint the other way without looking back while the hero named Lemillion, this time in normal clothes, went after her.

"WAIT!" Mirio called from behind. "I JUST CAME TO TALK!"

She had been too naive, she thought. Even if she was almost family with All Might himself, Melissa had infringed the law and a notorious hero team like The Big Three wouldn't overlook that. Right now her mind was blocked and the only plan she could come up with was to run until he lost sight of her. It wouldn't be easy though, considering Lellimion's Quirk would enable him to go through any kind of obstacle he found on his way without a problem. Unless...

Mirio kept calling her as he got closer, but Melissa had had an idea after catching sight of an ice cream van that drove slowly in a perpendicular way towards a spot where the van and those two would eventually meet. She accelerated and when she passed running in front of the van, Mirio would be some feet behind and he would come face to face with the side of the van. Naturally, the confident hero activated his Penetration Quirk and went though the walls of the vehicle... but when he reappeared on the other side, the many screams and some laughs of the people around made him stop right where he was and realize something:

"Oh, it's true... I'm not wearing my costume..." he innocently remembered as he covered himself with his hands. His Quirk, which consisted of penetrating through surfaces indeed, didn't extend to his normal clothes and that was the reason why his hero costume was created using his DNA.

"Sorry! Sorry!" Mirio smiled in embarrassment at the shocked public and driver, retreating behind the van to quickly recover and put his clothes back. Melissa was running away, but a naked muscular man running after a scared girl in Central Park might lend to little misunderstanding. "My Quirk is a tricky one, you see?"

Melissa had run as fast as she could until she left the park behind and had to lay on a building's wall to catch her breath. At first she was relieved that her plan had worked, but now she wasn't under pressure anymore, the inventor began to think about how stupid her reaction had been. If she had been intercepted by other hero than the Big Three, who were Uncle All Might and Deku's friends and unlike her, operated legally, she would already have had to call her lawyers. Furthermore, if there were out there looking for her, it was no use to run. The honorable thing to do was to thank their leader and apologize for doing things out of order. With that idea in mind, she took a deep breath and resolved to walk back to Central Park to meet this boy.
