We turn our heads to the door to see a tall man in a black suit about 60 or so he didn't look a dY older than 55 though. But his face went from happpt to surprised and angry.
"Son what is going on here " he said
I look at Colby . He looks down at me I'm still in his arms due to him pulling me off of aspyn.
"Father I just had to break up a fight. This woman over here. Attacked this young woman."
He lied for me?!?
I was so confused in the moment lost in my thoughts I come out of it to hear aspen pleading to keep her job but she is shortly escorted to her desk to grab her belongings and out of the building.
Colby follows his father to be talk to him. I hope he's ok his father seemed really angry and I don't know
what I would do if Colby lost the company because of me.
*colby*
"Son when I heard you starting seeing a girl in the office I was really angry at you I was angry that you could ever do such a thing and jeopardize the name of the company."
"But what I saw today was exactly what your mother and I had for each other when we was your age."
"Passion". And we still do he follows up. "How long has she been in the company" he asks me
"About 2 weeks " I tell him curious if what he is up to and what is up his sleeve
"Ok well train her under you you will work closely with her to promote the company and to help create new products"
"And give her a raise " from what I heard she put on quite a show the other night and she's not even a performer .
I nod.
"Well son I'm going to go check out the rest of the office and then go to mine to do some work that needs done "
I had forgotten he had left an office here for when he came in to check in things.
He exits the room leaving just me. I page Avalena to come to my office.
A short while later she is standing in my doorway her beautiful eyes red and puffy.
Was she crying?
I was so confused as to why she was upset.
"Hey what's wrong " I walk over to her wrapping my arms playfully around her waist pulling her to me gently. She looks up at me .
"I thought you was going to loose the company because of me and I didn't want you to loose everything because of me"
I smile at her placing my lips gently down on hers and for the first time in my life I feel like I might actually be falling in love.
