Chapter 33: Non existent feet

"Thankyou Viperion and Alya, without your help we could've never saved Marinette" Bunnix smiled.

"No problem nix!" Alya winked and gave Bunnix a pew pew hand signal. Bunnix Rolled her eyes and waved goodbye before she walked inside her portal and disappeared.

"Well then Alya, it was good to be partners with you. Till next time" Viperion smirked and bowed before finally setting off and leaving Alya alone. "Such a sly snake" she murmured and Carried on with her day.

The day had started again just like the other. She entered the school with her backpack and glasses and the annoyance of the school bell. "For the first time I'm actually late" She thought to herself and hurriedly ran to her respective classroom. On her usual seat was a lovely looking marinette. Her face was absolutely stunning. Her hair was tidy and she greeted Alya with a warm smile.

"That's odd, how are you late and I'm not?" She giggled and Alya hugged her tight. "Doesn't matter, I'm still here" she could feel the emotions in Marinette. "What's gotten into you today!" She chuckled and patted alya's shoulder.

The rest of the day went smooth. Lila seemed to be spying on Marinette but she ignored her mischievous ways and continued throughout their lunch period. The girls sat on a bench and calmly ate their food. "Why so quiet girl?" Alya raised a brow and Marinette just lightly chuckled.

"I just don't know how to tell you the good news" she said coolly but Alya gave her a blank look. "Tell me what?"

"I've learned about the baby's gender" she covered her mouth trying not to squeal in excitement.

"No" Alya gasped and Marinette began to stomp her foot in a delightful way.

"Is it a boy or a girl?" Asked Alya with impatience in the tone. She could not wait any longer for the answer so that she could secretly organize the baby shower and buy toys for the little one.

"I'd rather not tell you once the baby's born" she winked and Alya groaned.

"Then why bother tell me then?!" She said almost shouting in annoyance.

"For suspense" Marinette shrugged and the two continued to eat their snacks.

"You know..." Alya chewed her sandwich "...you should probably tell chat about that, I'm sure he'll be delighted. And plus...carrying the child seems like a burden by not telling the father" Alya swallowed.

Marinette seemed to take this in a turn but refused to show anger. "This baby isn't a burden to both of us. I'm sure he'll be happy but I just don't know how I will tell him" she gave a deep sigh.

"Well how about when you meet up again. I'm sure he'll come. He'd been missing you for weeks!" Alya wiped her mouth filled with sauces from the meal.

"How'd you know?"

"I'm a blogger...duh" she chuckled.

"Maybe you're right, I should do it. Infact, I'll go see him later this night" she felt hopeful and confident all of a sudden. Not sure if it was because of her hormones or it was just her natural self. But nothing mattered anyways. She felt good for once in this pregnancy.

"And how are you going to do that?" Alya furrowed her brows and Marinette gulped.

"Uh..I just know" she stated but sounded like a question instead.

The bell rang and off to class they went. For about a good 3 hour session the day was finally over. Marinette bid her goodbyes and walked home. Suddenly remembering the statement she said a while ago at lunch, she hid on a dark alley way and transformed. Calling chatnoir from her yo-yo phone call and for the sake of everything, he agreed to come by and meet up with her.

The night passed and ladybug was just sitting on a random rooftop. She watched as the moon twinkled above her with its company, the stars.

"How nice to see you in a lovely night, bugaboo" the last word seemed to calm her heart but at the same time hurt. She never had heard him call her that again. Last time he did it was sad and she was all moody and so.

"Chatnoir" she quietly said and gestured for chatnoir to sit down. Still not looking at him, she felt her body tense up. "Ugh! What am I gonna do now? Okay, sit still Marinette you got this" she thought to herself her fixed her loose skirt. The top she wore still hid her 6 month bump perfectly.

"I missed you...do you know that?" The words stung her heart. "Chat" she managed to say softly.

"Why didn't you notice me in the past weeks? I was worried about you. I don't know what is your problem and I don't even know if the problem is me" he said. A mix of anger and pity was heard in his voice.

"You didn't even say hi or goodbye, or our signature pound it" that was it. Ladybug's eyes grew wide and turned to chat. "Chat- I'm sorry I didn't know"

"You knew nothing of what I was feeling, it almost turned me mad. Seeing the one person I love just completely ignore me" he turned to her in a serious look. Although his eyes shimmered with tears.

"I.. I know it's hard, that's why I'm here-"

"To what? To tell me to just shut up? Leave you alone or..or...or "

"Chat-"

"NO!" He shouted, "you never even considered to make me feel like you saw me. I felt invisible ladybug! I've been here day and night hoping that I would see you but you never replied to my messages or calls!" Ladybug's heart winced.

"And just now you called me. I was so happy I wanted to cry in bed" he let out a plastered grin but couldn't help to wipe his tears away. Ladybug place a hand on her chest.

"If only you knew what was going on I'd be sure to explain it to you"

"But you never did! You avoided me day and night and the times we fought an akuma. You never told me what was the problem or what was worrying you! I thought I was the problem! I felt like a burden to you!" He shouted once more. The anger and hatred glowing in his eyes. Ladybug could sense it. It was now or never.

"I'm pregnant" she blurted out. Looking at her feet that she thought would not exist anymore. Chatnoir widened his eyes. He turned to her and opened his mouth. But no words seemed to exit his mouth.

"Say that again"

"You heard Me" Ladybug said, still looking at her tiptoes. Not wanting to look at him he grabbed her shoulders and pulled her to him. "Say it again!" He said and this time she and faced him.

"I'm pregnant you dumb cat!" She shouted back. She couldn't help but cry with him.

Suddenly all his worries had gone away. This was it. The answer to his problems was just a small incident that happened months ago. The mood swings and the runaway was just all because of her pregnancy. She was afraid to tell him.

He watch her head Lay in his chest and hit her fists on his shoulders. Covering his suit with cold tears. He gently placed his arm around her back to support her weight. He rested his head on her shoulder and both cried. Not in despair but happiness.
