Chapter 36: Kagami itsurgi and the mysterious purple papillon

"Do you really think that I can convince chatnoir to share our secret identities?" Marinette spoke, biting her nails while she was speaking.

"I'm pretty sure he'll agree" Tikki exclaimed. "Have you forgotten that he was always the one who asked you about this...but ofcourse, you always disagree"

"I do?" Asked Marinette, confused memories collided in her brain.

"Yes! Have you not remembered?" Tikki shuddered, Marinette shrugged.

Just then, by chance, a loud noise interrupted the pair. It echoed throughout her room and a pregnant noise covered the whole scene. Silence...

"W-What was that?!" Marinette screamed. "It's probably an akuma! Quick we must defeat it Marinette!" Tikki floated towards Marinette.

"No! I..I don't want to" Marinette brushed the flying Kwami away from her face and curled up into a ball.

"What?! Why not?" Tikki screamed. Almost as if she was terrified of something.

"I..I cant face chatnoir today. What if he doesn't like me when I show my identity to him?" Marinette hugged herself. Tikki gave her an erotic look.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?" Tikki smacked marinette's face with her tiny little paws.

"That...didn't hurt" she muttered but still touched her right cheek.

"Even if chatnoir doesn't accept you, he doesn't have a choice!" Tikki snapped. Still, Marinette was holding something back within her.

"I don't want him to accept me by force! I want to love somebody else who loves me for who I am Tikki!" Marinette cried. "I can't just raise this baby knowing that I'd probably not love it's father nor does he will love me back"

"Stop using your feelings into this marinette! There's an akuma on the lose and it's terrorizing the people! If you don't get out there someone might-"

"waAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!"

Tikki and Marinette gasped. The bluenette looked out of her window and saw a blonde boy who was stuck in some some purple webs who was wearing a rather iconic black suit she knew too well of. "Oh no! Chatnoir is trapped! I need to save him Tikki! Marinette gasped.

Marinette knew tikki was right. She shouldn't arrange her feelings into this mess. She was better than this. "Tikki! Spots on!"

Although he had met her before, he didn't expect her to be this...cold. Adrien Agreste sat on the leather seat of his private car. Driven by his grumpy and quiet driver and his new business partner.

"So..hi" He smiled. Waving his hand to the girl beside her. She looked at him confusedly and just nodded. "I'm sure you know what you're doing here. I'm adrien" He lend out his hand waiting for her to react.

"Kagami" She waved his hand in reply. "Sooo....you're my new business partner" Adrien leaned on the leather material, trying to make small talk. "Yes" Kagami replied sternly.

He expected her to be more open to him. Like a friend would. But, she was different. This girl was unnaturally quiet, and also...pretty. "So, how come you're here in my car and not with yours?" Adrien asked the quiet girl.

She blinked once, then twice. Then finally spoke. "Do you not want me here?"

Adrien jumped in his seat, not realizing that he moved closer to Kagami. "No no no no! I-I didn't mean that" he stuttered. Feeling a little shy and embarrassed. "May I ask why are you so curious?" Kagami stared at him. Just a blank emotion in her face.
