After reaching home late last night, I went straight to the bed.
Now, the alcohol from the party takes its revenge on me. Believe me I'm not an alcoholic but who can say no to the alcohol in a party. Once in a while, it's not a mistake, right? I hope nothing bad happens to my liver.
I'm still guessing how I changed from my office attire. Maybe it's my subconscious that helped me to. Who knows?
I fell back into the heaven, which is my bed. I would have reached my destination of my dream but my sister had to interrupt me from having a dream full of pink clouds.
She said something incoherently. I didn't listen to her.
"I wanna go back to my heaven with pwink cloudss... Go Away!!", I blabbered at her. She obviously didn't listen to me or made her mind not to leave me alone.
She threw my duvet away making me sit in my bed. "I hwate you lil sissie", I said rubbing my temple to stop the throbbing pain but it didn't stop.
"I want you in the kitchen. Fresh up and come", she ordered me.
"What? You are not my mother", she can't order around me, I'm not a kid, infact I'm older than her.
"RIGHT NOW", I lazily got up and went to the bathroom to freshen up not before glaring at her with my eyes made into slits.
I trotted in the direction of the kitchen to find it empty, I sat in one of the stool near the island. She came into the kitchen wearing her Bluetooth probably hearing some songs, she is addicted to that. "Yeah, I know. But..", well I'm wrong, she is talking to someone. She brought advil and a glass of water and extended it to me. She looked at me when I didn't move to take the med. Now it's her moment to glare at me. I pouted and took the med.
"You know I can't,", she is close to losing it and shout at this person. But she didn't. She maintained her calmness and continued making the breakfast or a brunch it is. I watched her and felt more sober than when I woke up. I got up and started making coffee for the both of us, we both love it when I make it. She is making french toast and cheese quiche to go with it. She ended her call.
"Someone's in a good mood", I taunted her. Okay! It's a wrong move, I realized it a little late though.
"For god's sake, you are 24 and you shouldn't be dreaming about pink clouds", she complained.
"Firstly, I'm 23 and secondly pink clouds IS my happy place",I turned to look at her and she shake her head knowing she can't change my thoughts. Good. I smiled in victory. "Don't smile like a goof and prepare the plates", she said it with her back towards me, she knows me like the back of her hand.
I got the plates and we sat in silence. I'm starving, I probably had fries and fries and fries with alcohol yesterday. I devoured the breakfast she made while she is silently eating hers. We made a habit of eating with each other when we are at home. So that we will catch up whatever happened. Still, she is unusually silent.
"What happened?", I broke the silence. "What?", she repeats it without looking at me. I stare straight into her eyes. "Nothing", she said quietly. Again she fell into her thoughts.
"Who were you talking with earlier?", "No-one", she said it too fast without looking at me. I know she is hiding something from me but now I'm 100% positive.
"You were not so happy talking with them? What happened?", I asked her again.
"Nothing happened. If anything happens, I'll let you know. So please stop with the questions and that scrutinizing gaze. You already look almost like granny, with that look, now you sure do like one", she smirked.
"Oh! You say that to me while you haven't looked yourself at a mirror", she sat with a wide grin, "You look like a...a..a mother hen ordering me around as if I'm your newly hatched chick".
"Ha! That's so funny", she remarked sarcastically, with that we bickered peacefully enjoying our brunch.

I tossed and turned in my bed but I didn't get my most needed sleep, I end up admiring the most beautiful work of art sleeping soundly next to me. I love her a lot. I mean come on every father loves his daughter way more than they should. She makes me a better man each and everyday. One look at her I feel like I wanna be the best man, the best father I could ever be, just for her. She is the reason I'm here right now, I want to raise this bundle of love into a wonderful girl without any one sympathizing over us. We can't change the past but we sure can make a better future out of it. I don't regret my decisions and I'll never.
It's good I bought a house near the office, it's just a 15 minutes drive, I can always come for my baby whenever she wants me to. She is more important than anything to me. Maybe, this week I should check around the baby care in the office, if it's good, I might think about it or I'll just hire a nanny for her. Simple.,right?
I wake up by her sound and the way she is playing with my nose , I saw her sleepily, she smiled at me and I took her up in my arms to soothe her back to sleep but I think she has other plans. By the time I opened my eyes completely she is wide awake. Ouch! Here goes my sleep out of the window.
I have to get a crib for her soon.
"Does my princess wanna go out for a walk?", I cooed, her smile became wide and she eagerly nodded her head with a word almost like a 'ywess'.
We soon finished our morning ritual and made our way towards the park nearby. I pick her up in my arms as soon as we reach the corner bench in the park and started feeding her the milk from her favorite bottle. She saw everything around her with a glint in her eyes. Well I'm happy to see her so excited like this.
