part 10

Coras POV.

that day seemed to go by in a flash, as soon as Minho and thomas got out of the homestead they were wisked away to a gathering, of course everyone who wasnt a keeper wasnt allowed in. i wanted to go in but Frypan was taken in there too so that meant i was left in charge of dinner tonight.

teresa wanted to get in...like she was all most going to beat the doors down but i asked her if she could help me make dinner. we walked into the kitchen looking as usless and a hammer in a garden.  we looked in the fridge for anything we could use and settled on sandwhiches with vegetables.

"if im honest, i think were going to give the whole glade food poisioning" i laughed as i cut up the vegetables teresa joined along in the laughter, i wasnt concentrating for a second and cut my finger. it wasnt bad but if any of the boys saw it they'd scream its the end of the world.

"ah i cut my finger, dont tell anyone" i sucked on the cut as teresa nodded putting the filling in the sandwhiches. we had some casual chats along the way but when we were nearly finished i decided to bring up the thomas situation.

"so tommy huh?" i asked placing down the knife and turning to look at her, she shook her head and glared at me. i smirked before shrugging my shoulders as if i could care less about her glare.

"so Newt huh?" she came back with newt... i almost yelled at her for changing the topic but then she lumped tommy into the love topic, i knew it.

"you just put tommy in the love subject, so thats how you feel!" i threw my hands up in victory before she started chasing after me, i ran out of the kitchen and out into the open space of the glade. i saw the keepers and thomas exit out of the gathering so i laughed and stopped before motioning to tommy.

"I'll kill you if you tell him" she pushed me down and i was laughing my head off as she pinned me down, she started drawing the attention of the other gladers and i rolled so i was on top of her then this continued for a while before it became some what serious.

"STOP!" i yelled at her and she pulled at my hair, i scratched at her arm that held my hair. she yelled before flipping over so i was on bottom.

"NO YOUR ANNOYING!" i didnt realise how out of hand something so idiotic could get between us, some keepers pulled us apart after some of them started chanting 'fight'. Teresa lunged at me once in Minhos and Thomas' hand...Alby and Newt hold me back.

"YOU SHANK!" i screamed at her and she retaliated with some witty comeback i had enough of fighting so i turned and walked away flipping her the finger when she kept screaming at me. 

now you know why you sent her up here...

i looked down shocked at what i had just thought, did i really stoop that low just because of some problem she has with a slinthead of a boy, newt was walking beside me trying to talk to me every second but i didnt respond.

"Cora...Honestly why do girls have to be like this!" he almost gave up when i reached out and grabbed his top, looking down before i walked in and hugged him.

"cora?" he sounded surprised by my sudden actions, i burried my face into his chest getting comfortable with him.

"its stupid, im stupid for letting that happen...it was a joke gone bad, i was teasing her about tommy." i mumbled into his shirt be coughed to disguse his laugh before messing my hair up.

"idiot just go apologize if you regret it" he pulled us apart and looked down to me, i smiled a bit before i dropped my gaze and held his hand.

"will you come with me to apologize, i feel stupid....plus i dont want my best friend to hate me over a boy" he started tugging on my arm and crouched down in front of me, i assume he wanted to give me a piggyback.

i giggled a bit before climbing on and he stood up, i felt 30cm taller when newt was carrying me. i hugged his back and kissed his Neck slowly down to his shoulder. he looked back to me before looking forward again.

"Newt...i dont want to lose anyone anymore." i whispered into his ear, i could feel heat radiating off him when i was close to his face.

"if you stay close to me....you'll never lose me, not ever....i dont know what to do when your not next to me." i hugged him tighly when he finished speaking, i loved him...i knew that forever i could count on him.

"come on Newt, face it we'll all die here in the maze...i mean there isnt a way out" i spoke quietly trying to be resonable with my hope that we'll be together forever.

"actually, Minho and Thomas may be onto something...so tommy is a runner now but tomorrow he is going in the slammer for a day" i jumped off Newt and almost picked him up with the best News someone in a maze could ever hear.

"your not joking right?" i questioned and he smiled, i wanted to apologize to teresa quickly to share my excitement, i ran off ahead without Newt and found teresa, i ran into her with a big hug and she huged my tightly back.

"im so so so sorry T....but has tommy told you the News?" she pulled away and nodded before we both jumped around excitedly together.

"sorry everything got heated before....i was just feeling weird after id pinned you down" i thought about what she'd said...maybe WICKED had controlled her. i shook it off before i turned and saw Newt, Minho and Tommy.

"girls are weird and hard to predict" minho spoke the other two nodded while me and teresa hugged and rocked back and forth. we smiled before we said our goodnights to each other, i went to stay in Newts room for the night instead of sleeping on the ground with chucky and tommy.

i kneeled on the bed and layed my face next to Newts, he smiled and stared into my eyes. i bit my lip at the sight of him before leaning in and kissing him, it only lasted a minute before we heard someone walking down the hall. Newt turned on to his back while i rested my head on his chest, Newt played with my hair making me feel sleepy.

"Cora...Night" i nodded before i fell asleep to the sound of Newts heart beat and his steady breaths.

A/N dudes i was wondering if i should do the scorch trials of this once they get out as like a sequel...also do you want things to get dirty between them while they're in the glade? ALSO IM 100% BETTER! well nearly but anyway let me know
