I wake up next in the next morning with the sun in my face. I lets out a groan while stretching out my back.
I look over and see Cameron who's already looking over at me with amusement.
“Did someone have trouble sleeping the chair?”
“Shut up,”
He just laughs to himself.
“You should probably go home and get ready for school”
“Are you serious, I’m not going to school?”
“Yes I’m serious and you are”
“But I want to spend time with you, you herd what the doctor said”
“I promise you I will be fine, I’ll be here when you come back just please go.”
“No, I wanna stay”
“Rhianna you go get ready for school otherwise I will call the nurses to come kick you out.”
“You wouldn’t dare”
“You want a bet” he says placing his finger over the button that calls the nurses
“Fine whatever, I’ll go, gosh when did you turn into my dad”
“Ha ha, very funny now go” he says pointing to the door.
I pout and walk to the door
“Wait no goodbye kiss?” he says
I roll my eyes and walk over and kiss his forehead.
“Bye loser, love you” he says
“Bye asshole, love you too” I say while walking out the door.
I quickly get in my car and drive home.
Once I’m home I quickly shower and get ready before driving to school.
I park out the front of the school and begin to walk to the entrance. At the entrance I see Sammy waiting. He looks up and spots me. He gives me a warm smile and a wave before walking over to me.
“Hey Rhi” he says while giving me a hug.
“Hi Sammy” I respond while hugging him back.
We both begin to walk to our lockers and quickly grab our stuff before walking to class.
I observe the students in the hall way and how happy they are. The thing is I’ve seen people happy all my life but only felt it when I was with Shawn.
Yes I feel better when I’m with Cam but I was too caught up in self-pity that it wasn’t true happiness.
Wouldn’t they at least feel a bit guilty know that there were people in the world who had to suffer while they had the perfect like.
But as I look at the all the students it makes me envy to know what it feels like, but I know that I won’t ever be able to experience that again.
I can feel Sammy watching me so I turn around and look at him. He looks at me like he’s trying to read me.
I roll my eyes and playfully nudge him.
Soon enough we get to class. I take a seat at the back with Sammy sitting next to me. He begins to tell me what I’ve missed since I’ve ‘been away’.
We’re soon interrupted by Jack walking into the class room. He instantly looks at me and Sammy.
If looks could kill I’d be dead.
I quickly dart my eyes to my desk. When I look back he’s walking down the class room with an evil smirk on his face.
As I watch him with curiosity he sit next to Brittany. He gives her a smile and begins to talk to her which makes her giggle. aka flirting.
I decide to turn my head to Sammy who’s looking at them with an annoyed expression. He soon rolls his eyes and turns back to me
“Could he get any lower?” Sam mutters
I laugh quietly.
“Why is he even sitting with her?” I ask Sammy
“Isn’t it obvious, because of you”
“What do you mean because of me?” I asked confused
“Well he’s jealous since you’re talking to me and not him, so he’s trying to get revenge in his own messed up way.”
“Oh.”
“Yeah. Anyway do you want to come to hospital with me after school?” Sammy asks
“Sure but can we stop at my house first because I need to drop my car off and grab some things”
“Yeah, sure that’s fine” he says
The bell rings and the teacher walks in.
“Good morning students”
She begins to teach but I quickly zone out. I begin to think about Cam. I don’t want to think about him leaving but it’s always in the back of my mind.
I didn’t realise class was over and that I practically spent the whole time zoning out until Sammy waved his hand in front of me.
“You coming?” he ask with an amused smirk. I get up and follow him.
*skips to end of school*
I walk out of my class and walk to my locker to find Sam leaning up against it.
I give him a smile and quickly grab my bag before we walk to the entrance together.
When we walk out of the school we’re stopped by the Jacks.
“Hey, what are you guys up to?” JJ asks
“Nothing much, Rhi and I were thinking of going to go hang out and go see Cam”
I hear Jack snicker.
“I’m sorry do you have a problem?” I ask him while he rolls his eyes and ignores me.
“Well anyway” Sam says “We should get going”
“Use protection” I hear Jack mutter
I give him a glare but he pretends he doesn’t notice as he goes on his phone.
“Yeah well.. bye guys” JJ says while Jack just walks off.
