Last night's dinner was... interesting. It started out quiet until John told me that I would meet their entire pack the next day. He must have seen the panicked look on my face because he then quickly assured me that I wouldn't be walking around alone and that someone would go with me. Mary then asked me what things were like back in Indiana, only for me to tell her that the weather was constantly on its time of the month.

Dean had chuckled at that and made the comment that Sam, "might as well marry the state because he was the exact same way". This was followed by a grunt of pain from Sam stomping on his foot seconds later. Then being led to Dean giving Sam the hardest death glare I've ever seen. The next thing I know, I'm putting up my plate to find Dean chasing Sam in the yard wolfed out and everything. It all would have been fine if I could keep my eyes off Sam, and vice versa.

Today was a little quieter when I woke up. I put on a pair of light blue jeans, with a gray tank top and a jean jacket. I grabbed a pair of white converse and headed downstairs to find Mary in the kitchen. I set my shoes down by the door and headed over to see if I could help her in any way.

"Morning," she greeted a big smile on her face. "Ready to meet the pack today?"

I shrugged. "As ready as I'll ever be." There was no hiding my nerves. Something told me I was going to mess this thing up. Besides high school, I've never been the new girl. Even back then I still had friends from my own pack going in. Finally noticing how empty the place was, I asked where the boys were.

"Well, John is on patrol with Bobby, his Beta, Sam went out on a small grocery run, and Dean is probably still sleeping in his room." I smiled at how much Dean had reminded me of my older brother. The smile then faded at the very thought of him. We've only been apart for twelve hours and I was already missing him. I didn't know how I was going to live one month without him, much less my whole life. I shook it off before Mary noticed my sudden change in mood and decided to change the subject.

"So, what's for breakfast?" I asked.

"I'm glad you asked," she said grabbing a plate. "Because we are having pancakes." She placed the plate in front of me with pancakes piled on top. She set down some butter and syrup for me and I immediately started digging in. The food was gone within minutes and Mary was just finishing hers. She asked if I was ready to go and I not so eagerly nodded. I slid on my converse and we walked out the door.

The first people I met were two betas, Ellen and her daughter Jo. Ellen was Bobby's mate, who I would meet after he and John came back from patrol. Jo seemed like a cool girl to hang out with. We had a small conversation about where I was from and what it was like here and there. Ellen was more or less the pack nurse here. She taught Jo a few things just in case, but her actual nurse in training was the daughter of the next person I met, Jody.

Jody was a beta who lived with her two beta daughters, Alex and Claire, seemed like a normal family, considering the whole werewolf thing. The two sisters were seemingly opposite to each other's personalities. Whereas Alex, Ellen's student, was more of the type you would find as a nurse at the hospital (Hence the nurse training from Ellen), Claire was more of the girl who would bite first, ask questions later. Both girls were still in high school, but they got by in their studies more or less the same way I did: Work until the full moon, and when the time comes, have your parents call in saying they were going for a family reunion or something along the lines. While we were there I met Jody's friend Donna, who wasn't a wolf like the rest of us, but she kept the secret as Jody's partner in the sheriff's department. As well as a sort of aunt figure to the two girls after Jody's mate had died in a territory fight with a nearby pack.
