Y/N

I paced back and forth, Charlie and Jo trying to calm me down and trying to put my ceremonials on. As of now I only had the white underdress on. The torso was skin tight while the skirt was less thereof. The two female betas kept chasing me around trying to put the f/c dress that would then be followed by a cloak-like jacket that showed my packs seal. (Your choice of what it looks like) Why were there so many damn layers?

"Y/n, stop pacing!" Charlie said, slightly frustrated. "The ceremony starts in half an hour and we still have to do your hair and makeup."

"But what if something goes wrong?" I asked. "One minute I had one week to prepare for this whole thing, and the next I had forty-eight hours!"

I didn't mean that as an exaggeration for not being prepared. The council had decided to move mine and Sam's betrothal ceremony to the day after the next, to give time for my pack to arrive.

"What if I mess up a move, or a word in the oath, or,..." Jo grabbed me by the shoulders and gave me a small shake.

"Calm down," she said slightly chuckling. "Missouri will instruct you on what to do when you need to do it. As for the oath, we'll recite them while we finish getting you ready." I took a deep breath and nodded. We put the rest of the ceremonials on then moved on to hair and makeup. Charlie did my hair surprisingly well into a bun that almost looked like a rose. Jo did the makeup portion that wasn't overbearing but didn't look quite natural either, picking colors to match the ceremonials. A knock sounded at the door. It opened to reveal Mary and my mother, both wearing excited faces.

"It's time!"

"Where is he?" I asked pacing back and forth once again in front of the Winchester house. A betrothal ceremony requires the first in line alpha to give away the betrothed, rather than the Alpha of the pack or the betroth's father, to show they understand the responsibility of their birthright and the responsibility of the betrothed their giving away.

"Your brother will be here," my mother replied with a slight chuckle. "relax."

"He's always late. Do you remember his eighteenth birthday? He was late to his own surprise party!"

"Y/n, you sound like a non-shifter who thinks her wedding is going to come crashing down because someone clapped their hands too early."

"Well, this is technically my wedding," I replied.

"It's your betrothal ceremony,"

"So a forced marriage with someone who happens to be my true mate,"

"Thankfully," my mother breathed. "I didn't what this for you, you know."

I turned to look at her. "What do you mean?"

"I didn't want you to go through a betrothal, but your father owed Alpha John a huge debt."

"So, what, dad just offered me up as his check?" I asked, slight anger grew with the anxiety that I'd already had.

"No, no, no," she said, holding me by the shoulders. "Alpha John asked if your father could. He invoked the Old Code and your father didn't have much choice. I'm just glad things worked out the way they did."

"So am I!" The two of us looked to see Y/b/n walking over to us, a huge smile plastered on his face. "Otherwise I'd have to rip a wolf's head off."

"And now you'll have to worry about getting your head ripped off," I replied.

"I made it on time," he said, holding his arms up in surrender. "I wouldn't want my baby sister to miss her special day now would I?"
