"Hello, little brother," Michael said, looking more at Dean than Cas.

"Michael," Cas greeted, his face looking slightly pale.

"I'm surprised to see you're alive," the Alpha finally moved his eyes to the beta. "after you disobeyed and deserted your pack."

"And now, here we find you, with this..." an older Beta who Michael had called Zachariah glanced at Dean. "maggot's scent on you."

Cas looked at the ground, as if he wanted to disappear. I lifted my hand up to his shoulder and gave a small squeeze. I was surprised that the beta had volunteered to meet up with his brothers. Dean had wanted three members to go with him to try to reach an agreement with the Raj pack, to try to befriend them rather than having a three way battle. I had volunteered after Dean had put Sam on lockdown to keep him away from any form of contact between him and the other two packs. Bobby had gone with us, being the most experienced and technically still the lead Beta of the pack.

"By right of the Old and New Codes he is not yours anymore," Dean stated. "seeing as he's found his True Mate of a different pack you have no right to touch him."

"Do not lecture us of the Code pup," Raphael snapped before Michael held his hand up to silence his other packmates.

"You wish to make an arrangement," Michael said as he lowered his hand.

"We do," I said "one that we believe will be in your best interests."

"Bold claim coming from a small thing such as yourself."

"Zachariah," Michael warned allowing us to continue.

"A truce." Dean stated firmly. "Both of our packs work together to beat the Dovragans here, we march on Lucifer's territory to take him down, then your pack goes back to the North and do whatever the hell it is you do up there."

Michael only stared back at Dean with a blank expression. I couldn't tell if he was thinking over accepting the deal or whether or not to bite the other Alpha's head off.

"A very tempting offer, I'll admit," he said after a moment. "only you're forgetting one condition that we'd like to add."

"And what's that?" Bobby asked.

"The prize that Lucifer seeks on this territory," Raphael replied immediately.

"Give it to us," Zachariah continues. "so we can destroy it."

I bit down on my tongue in order to stay quiet. It didn't seem like the trio new that Sam was the "prize" they were looking for, and it was better if it stayed that way.

"We don't know of anything Lucifer would want from our pack,"

"Surely Castiel has told you of our plans while he's whoring himself away to you?"

Dean growled, looking ready to launch himself at the Beta, but Bobby grabbed his arm and held him tight.

"He has told us a few things," I said, trying to direct the attention to me and off the angry Alpha. "but there is no indication as to what exactly Lucifer would be looking for, whether it be a weapon, or an artifact-"

"Perhaps you could take us down to your center and we could figure it out." Michael proposed.

"You'll forgive us, if we don't quite agree to that." Bobby interjected.

"Now, is that any way to gain trust?"

"With all do respect Alpha Michael, a pack at war isn't always the most trustworthy." I added.
