Chapter 6

-Akiko's POV-

Burning.

A white burning light covered me from my feet to my head. The Goddess Amber! It was cracking!

My vision turned black as I opened my eyes to see a deep crater surrounding a pillar that the boy and I stood on. My shadows were swirling around us... us?

My shadows don't let anyone in? Maybe it's because he is a demon? No, mother said that fathers shadows protect him against all threats.

Maybe it's because he doesn't pose a threat to me. That's the only reasonable explanation.

"Are you okay?"

A soft voice called out to me. It's the girl from before! Its a miracle she's still alive. She sat on the floor next to me.

"You were unconscious when the Amber broke. You must be a demon to if you were caught in it, you are a demon right?" she questioned carefully, as if not to offend me. I felt like I could tell her.

"My mother was a half demon while my dad was a pure blood (Harry Potter anyone? nope, just me then), it might be the reason that i'm not like that." I stated, while pointing at the kid from the festival, who had dark purple markings that swirled around the right side of his body.

Hes magic is going out of control, but there was something else. An immense surge in magical power down in the ground.

I got to get out of here, I GOT TO GO NOW!

Shadows wrapping around my legs, I took off towards the tree line. Wind pulling my hair back as I took off at a high speed, leaving my bag behind.

-tem skip-

As I reached the forests border, the magical power that came from the underground had reached the surface and grew in size. I looked back to see rocks being flung into the sky at and incredible rate as the world shakes underneath the force. My gaze shifted upward and large shadows were cast around the surrounding area as gigantic mound of earth was hanging in the sky.

Relative to the enormous boulder stood a small figure. From on top of the rock they raised a hammer in the air and smacked the ground down with extreme force.

Mother Earth Catastrophe.

woop woop, we all gunna die!!

This past year my grandad has had 5 more hart attacks and my grandpa has died!

on top of that I've had both blood tests, and ECG and have I've scheduled head scan to see if i'm ether epileptic or and just having weird panic attacks where I drop to the floor screaming.

ON TOP OF THAT the world is dying, im now in self isolation struggling to buy toilet paper because every one is panicking.
