Chapter Fourteen
Sexy Sexy Room-Service
The ship docked the next day at around midday, and Waltz and Sumaey left the ship quickly.
'Oh, it's so good to be off that thing.'
'We weren't on there long' Sumaey frowned at Waltz.
'Yeah but I hate being confined like that, stuck in a wooden box rocking back and forth...'
'Stop your whining' Sumaey interrupted before he had the chance to continue.
'Should we hold hands?' Waltz gleamed turning to her.
'Only if you want it broken' Sumaey answered shortly not looking at him.
'We should find maybe somewhere to eat, and wait for the next ship to come in. Don't want to leave Spirit and the others on their own for too long. I don't think they'll like it.'
'I'm sure they will be fine' Sumaey said dismissively. 'Why, are you worried about them?'
'No?' Waltz answered innocently. 'I just would hate for Spirit to pine for you too much.'
Sumaey gave him an unamused expression.
'Ok well.... I am a little hungry anyway' she said offhandedly. 'I could do with something to eat.'
'Oh look' Waltz spoke up then. 'A convenient place to eat located right by the harbour where we can watch the ships come in. Maybe we should eat there?'
Sumaey strode past him without acknowledging his words, marching towards the tranquil looking café, with the cat following closely after her.
Waltz bowed low then sarcastically.
'After you my lady' he spoke to the air, before following her.

They stayed here for several hours, sitting at a crudely cut table and watching the waters nearby.
'Is that the ship?' Sumaey spoke up breaking the silence.
Waltz who had been resting with his head on his folded arms looked up blearily then.
'Uh....yeah' he mumbled wiping the dribble from the corner of his mouth. 'That's the one.'
They waited a little longer, watching as the ship docked and the passengers got off. At last after most had left the ship, Spirit, Graham and Loxus finally stepped off the gangplank, Spirit looking around for them.
'Yoo hoo!' Waltz waved at them.
Spirit turned towards him, making his way over as Graham and Loxus began to play with each other on the harbour, Graham teasing the great creature and running around it, Loxus trying to catch him.
'Did you enjoy the trip?' Waltz asked Spirit merrily as the water elemental took a seat at the table beside the cat.
'It was fine' Spirit replied.
'Oh, wait I just remembered we're not supposed to be seen with you' Waltz spoke quickly.
'It's ok' Spirit answered with a smile (he rarely smiled) 'I don't mind waiting in the forest.'
'Yes, I know you hate people' Waltz sighed, resting his chin on his palm. 'If we ever need to reach you, we will use smoke signals.'
'Or' Sumaey overrode him, 'meet at night.'
'Or meet at night' Waltz concluded.
'Where will you stay?' Spirit asked them.
'There is a coal-town a few miles from here' Waltz replied seriously. 'We will travel there by carriage.' He paused. 'Tomorrow will be the day we finally get to meet the pyromancer, this infamous fellow.'
