We rushed to the ER when bell rang.  The light bulb above the ER door turns red,  it really means critical condition. Once we enter there,  the patient coughs with blood and difficulty in breathing.  The nurses aide the patient an oxygen hose and attached dextrose to his hand.  I signal the doctor to quickly deliver the patient to the ICU the doctor nodded and push the wheeled stretcher to the ICU.

We prepare the dosage for the boost of immune system to the patient via vaccine.  Once the patient will stabilize for an hour or less,  the patient will undergo a chest X-ray to identify the factors of the patient's breathing problems.  Maybe pneumonia is the suspect but hopefully not if it is,  please not in both lungs. 

After an hour of treating,  we found out that both of the patient's lungs are severely infected with pneumonia and the patient is positive to new Corona Virus Disease. The patient have to breathe via ventilator.  Or so called Ventilator-associated Pneumonia. 

More and more cases are related to pneumonia and it results to lung failure then followed by heart failure.  Poor oxygen in RBC could result catastrophe in the body,  instead in the alveoli the blood exchange gases,  they cannot perform it because fluids build up in the air sacs ,  performing  exchange of carbon dioxide and oxygen is close to impossible and it is toxic in our body our. The organs that will received the poor oxygenated blood do not function properly and will result to failure.

The patient's pulse is slowly stabilizing. The patient would be transfered to isolation ward. We collected blood sample from the patient and ready for the laboratory findings and trials.

We head back to the laboratory and continue what we worked before. I am still on the preliminary stage and this virus irked me more.  So intelligent.

I gather the data from the previous similar cases of this new virus.  An idea pops in my head. Maybe it will work.

From the first infected DNA and the virus RNA with some new additional chemicals added.  Then I isolated it and put in into the tubes isolation chamber.  I prepare the another virus sample on the dish and ready to drop the new mixture for it's results. I carefully drop the new mixture into the dish and oh boy,  the new mixture did attack the virus and the virus itself shrink and slowly disappear.  What an extraordinary sight!

"ARCHIE LOOK!  Cinth manage to counterattack the virus!, " Mandy suddenly shouted.  Oh jeez.

"Well what can you expect from a science-freak combat medic we have?, " Archie smirk.

"But we need to have another sample to guarantee it's success and we'll add another chemicals to enhance the patients health, " Archie added.  Well,  we have to study more this case.  I hope this will be the solution.

We organize our things here so we could take our rest shift.  Maybe the next shift could help us with this patent.

We enter the disinfecting area and change our clothes and head back to our quarters. We have to eat lunch and I'll video call Rielle.

We had our lunch with fish fillet with side dish of leaf vegetable salad and a cup of tea.  Captain's whereabouts is at the base camp.  Assisting the frontliners. 

Once I finished my lunch and clean, I excused myself and contact Rielle. The phone just rings and after three rings she answered with a shout of "YOU SCARED THE SHIT OUT ME BITS!" Oh well and her hormones at peak.

"Well things get crazy here bits,  we have a hectic schedule and short rest shift.  We just came up with patent but we didn't know that it would guarantee it's success though, " I inform her then the next thing I know is that the screen is filled the faces if my classmates.  Where the heck is she?

"Of course you would find the solution bits!  And oh,  don't use medical terms on me I'm not fond of it, " I forgot what I'm talking to.

"Be safe there, "
"When will you gonna be home?,"
"Is there any hot patient or co-workers there?, "

The last question made me choke what I drink. For all of the questions,  these people are nothing but filled with high standards to their ideal guy when in fact no one court them.

I wave at them and told them that I'll take a rest then end the call.

Suddenly my phone beeps,  a voice message and it says:

"Be careful, always drink and eat healthy foods.  I'll be going there to help.  Let's meet soon, "

And that voice belongs to Euro.
