Author's POV

Y/N Anderson, grand daughter of a know politician, her father, Robert Anderson, is a lawyer while her mother, Iris Anderson, is a famous business influencer.

She's 17 yrs old already and although she is rich and spoiled, she is sill very friendly and her fellow students describe her as a very down to earth person.

Y/N's POV

I was just getting ready for school when my mom called me to have breakfast already so I went down right away so that I won't keep everyone waiting.

"Morning sweetie" my mom greeted while I went to my seat. "Ready for your first day in college?" My dad asked and I nodded in response.

"I can't wait for my grand daughter to be successful like us" my grandfather said. Ever since I was a kid, my whole family only taught me one thing and that is to be successful and to be the best.

The whole family lived with success and I never really heard any of us fail. I know in life we have failures but my family shows me something different.

"Honey we can't drive you today sadly, the driver will be bringing you" my dad said "yes dad" I replied. They're always busy with their work but that's fine with me because they make sure to make up for the time we have lost.

I was in the backseat of the car on the way to school. It is my first day in college but I'm really not new to the school cause that's where I studied ever since I was in grade school.

My parents were devoted to this school and according to them, every Anderson has graduated in this school so they want me to stay here for he rest of my life until I graduate in college.

The family of Anderson are known for being part of the political world and the business world. Our parents usually takes charge of choosing our courses and future jobs.

I have finally reached school and I'm now headed to my locker. "Hey bitch" a girl said and I looked over to where the voice came from only to find my best friend Cheska.

She's my childhood best friend and to give a little background she also has a rich family, Cheska Perez. Her dad used to work for my grandfather while her mom is my mom's best friend aswell.

"Ms. Y/N Anderson, you are called to the principal's office" Mrs. White said as she came up to me. I know most of the teachers here except for the new ones obviously.

I told Cheska I'd meet her in the classroom while I go to the principal's office first. I knocked first to show respect.

"Come in" I heard so I went in already. "Good morning Mr. Smith, I heard you called for me" I said.

"Yes I did, please take a seat Ms. Anderson" Mr. Smith said as I walked towards him and sat down.

"So Ms. Anderson, you are one of our best students here and you studied here ever since. I'm assuming you know the school very well" Mr. Smith explained.

"Yes I do know the school Mr. Smith" I answered
"Well that's good to hear because we have a very special new student" Mr. Smith said.

How special? I thought to myself. "And I think you and her would get a long well, so will you guide her for her first few days here?" Mr. Smith asked.

"Yes I would love to..." I answered feeling unsure. "Well then meet Maihua Lee" Mr. Smith said.

The door open and shows a girl that.... actually doesn't look like a girl.. in my opinion. She's good looking though. W-wait what am I thinking!! Ughhh

"Hey" Maihua said and I didn't notice that she was already in front of me. "Uhm.. hey" I said nervously. Why am I nervous though.

We both went out of Mr. Smith's office now. "So uhm... what school did you come from?" I asked feeling awkward. "Oh uhm I was just in home study" Maihua answered.

We're both taking marketing business. We finally reached the classroom after walking in silence as if we aren't together.

"Hey ches" I called Cheska as I sat beside her. I call her Ches, short for Cheska. "Oh Maihua you can sit here" I said as I offered her the empty seat to my left since Cheska was seated to my right.

"Who's that hottie?" Cheska asked while secretly pointing at Maihua. I know she is hot but I can't be into girls. Cheska here is bisexual but her family doesn't know cause she's probably be dead by now.

I'm straight and if ever I'd end up like Cheska, I don't even think I could still live if my parents find out. I have no plans on falling for Maihua.

"Uhm... Y/N?? Hello? Am I talking to someone??" Cheska was just waving in front of my face until I realized that I was thinking about.... Maihua and my sexuality.

"Oh well that's the new student that Mr. Smith assigned me to guide for her first few days" I answered. "This is my chance I guess" Cheska said as she smirked.

"Cheska she's just a new student and please concentrate on your studies" I said "I have been concentrating on my studies for the past 17 years of my life so now maybe it's time" she said as she smiled.

"So failing almost every test is called concentrating??" I asked in a joking manner and she just stared at me as she was about to kill me.

I turned to Maihua just to find her using her phone so I turned to Cheska and she was also busy with her phone so I just grabbed my phone aswell scrolling through tiktok.

"Hey what's Maihua's last name?" Cheska whispered which surprised me. "Lee" I answered and went back on my phone.

Cheska went up and I guess she's going to the bathroom, I noticed she left her phone on her desk as I heard a notif from it.

Out of curiosity I looked over it and saw a text from... my dad's assistant?!? Saying I can't find any information about Maihua

I got really confused, why would my dad's assistant text Cheska and why would he want Maihua's information??

Maihua's POV

My best friend AP is just texted me saying she's outside the classroom and since I don't think the teacher will be here soon I went out to check.

"So?" AP asked "Well the principal assigned her to guide me" I answered "wow what's a good start and the next thing is" AP said "gain her trust, I know" I answered.

"Gain her trust?" A girl from behind us whispered to herself but was enough for me and AP to hear.

"Uhm who are you?" I asked. "W-why do you have to gain my best friend's trust?" She asked hesitantly. "Who is your best friend?" I asked.

"Y/N" she answered "I thought Cheska is her best friend" I said "well she has 2" she replied. I looked at AP "I'll take care of this" AP assured me so I went back inside the classroom.
