At this very moment, I am watching my father getting buried. I can hear my mom mourning beside me and all I could do is to hug her and comfort her.

"I'm not in the mood to play with you Donna" my mom said with anger in her voice, I assume my mom knows her.

Then I'm probably right, she's Maihua's mom, my father's mistress. "I'm not playing" She replied, "then what do you want?" I asked.

"I want the both of you out of my house" she said and got me confused, "get straight to the point" my mom said.

Donna scoffed and took a piece of paper out of the envelope. She plastered the paper right in our faces.

It's my father's last will and testament, turns out this property me and my mom are standing on is Mrs. Lee's.

"How?" I asked "Honey, because I am his first love so he gave this house to me" Donna replied. My mom is raging right now so I held her arm to calm her down.

"What's happening?" Maihua asked as she entered the room, "Maihua?" Donna asked. "Y/N, what's going on?" Maihua asked once again.

"Mom let's just leave and figure this out" I said and lead my mom upstairs, I'm packing my things, I can't get everything at once so I have to come back for the others.

"You guys can stay at my apartment" Maihua offered but I declined, "Maihua, my mom owns two houses, we can stay in one of those" I said and assured her that it'll be fine.

Maihua offered a ride and I didn't refuse anymore because she insisted on it. My mom was silent the whole ride and when we got to the house, I had a look around.

I used to go here when I was younger, this is where my mom's parents used to live. My mom went to her room right away while Maihua assisted her with her bags.

I went to the room that is in the other hallway from where my mom's was. She told me to pick any room so probably this one.

My grandparents loved big houses so there are 10 rooms in this house. My mom didn't want I sell this because she had a lot of memories here and she wants to hand it over to me when she's gone.

I don't really need a big house to be honest, I'm good as long as I'm with the people I love and we have all the resources we need.

I sat on the bed to get a feel of it, great thing we have a caretaker to clean the house, there are 3 so they wouldn't have a hard time.
