Chapter 13: 𝓷𝓸 𝓸𝓷𝓮 𝓮𝓵𝓼𝓮

Y/N's POV

Maihua texted me and she said she wanted to meet up. I do really feel bad about what I said to her the last time we spoke to each other.

The address she sent me was an address to an apartment, I haven't heard of it so I guess it's new. I knocked at the door and Maihua opened it.

"Hey, come in" she said with a smile. I sat on the couch making myself feel comfortable. "Is this new?" I asked and she nodded.

Why would she need a new apartment though? I just had a look around and I realized the only pictures she has in this room is ours.

"I just couldn't imagine myself living without you" she said. "We're not sisters Y/N" she added. I walked over to her and looked into her eyes, how I wish what she is saying is true.

"I've confirmed it" she said, our faces are inches away from each other. "How?" I asked "someone I know" She replied.

She pulled me closer to her, my body is literally glued to her right now but how could I forget, this isn't our first time our bodies touched like this.

"And even if it's true, I still love you" she said and I can see the sincerity in her eyes. "I love you and if that's wrong I don't ever want it to be right" She added.

"Maihua I love you too" I said as she looked down on my lips, I just want her right now, it's been a long time now from the last time I tasted those.

"But we need to do the right thing even though it hurts" I added "lucky for us this isn't wrong" She replied and kissed me.

We kissed passionately and I'm surprised we haven't made it to the bed. She broke the kiss first, "I'm sorry" she said and I gave her that 'for what' look.

"For having a lot of arguments with you, and for raising my voice" she explained, "it's my fault, I shouldn't have said anything about your mom like that" I replied.

"It's okay, but seriously I'm sorry for everything, for the lies and for everything I put you through" She said and I gave her an assuring look.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" She asked and I nodded happily, "of course I will" I answered and kissed her.

"Sorry it isn't as sweet as how others ask their partners" she said, "I don't care, as long as it's you" I said.

"I love you Y/N and there's no one else but you, remember that" she said "I will, now can we?" I asked and she carried me gently and walked over to the couch.

"Let's do it here" she said and I just laughed at it. I'm sitting on top of her lap as we continue kissing each other, I felt her hands slither into my blouse.

My phone rang but we ignored it, it rang a few more times and that's when we decided to stop. We thought it might be important.

I got my phone and it's my mom, she sent texts as well saying that it's urgent. I called back, "Mom?" I asked, no one answered but I heard sobbing from the other line.

"Mom? Are you okay??" I asked "Y-Y/N, i-it's your dad" she said while sobbing in between. "What happened?" I asked "I'll just text you, please come here, I need you" She said and ended the call.

I looked at Maihua and she's giving my a worried look. "We need to go for now, let's continue this next time I promise" I said and she nodded.

   

"Mom, how is he?" I asked as I rushed to her. "he's gone" she said and bursted into tears, I hugged her to comfort her, I wanted to cry but I think I need to be strong for my mom.

She then calmed down and sat down with me. Maihua went down to buy water first. "H-how did that happen?" I asked hesitantly.

She took a breath before she explained, "he was shot, he lost too much blood on the way here, he didn't make it" she explained.

"Who did it?" I asked "You don't need to know" she answered, I don't know why but I want to know.

"Water?" Maihua said as she handed the bottles to us. "Thank you" my mom said. "I'll get the drivers to bring you home now mom" I said and she nodded.

  

   

I'm now sitting in Maihua's car as she drives, I haven't said a word, everything just happened so fast.

"You can cry" Maihua said and I just looked at her, "you're a human being Y/N, you can't hold it in" She said and I refused to let my tears flow down.

"You're with me Y/N, it's okay to not be okay" she said and held my hand with her free hand. "Just pour it out, I'm here" she said and holding her hand feels assuring and that's when I let it all out.

"Who could've done it to him?" I asked "you know there are a lot of people out there that wants him dead" Maihua replied.

"Let's get a drink" I said and we stopped by to buy drinks and went to an empty park, we just sat a bench staring at the view.

I know my father isn't the best but I know he does all of these for his family. He does a lot of illegal things but he could pay for that he has done for being behind bars.

He doesn't have to die like this, a lot of people hate him and I can't do anything about that. I may have said that I hated being his daughter but honestly I don't, I feel blessed to have a father like him.

Maihua took a sip from her drink and pulled me closer to her and laid my head on her shoulder, tears just kept flowing down but it doesn't bother Maihua that her shirt is getting wet.

"I'm here for you, and I will always be here no matter what happens" she said and kissed my forehead, "I love you Y/N" she said.

"I love you too" I replied in a soft manner, I feel very tired from crying and it's just hard to say more than I what I want to say.
