Chapter 19: 𝓪𝓶𝓶𝓮𝓷𝓭𝓼

Donna's POV

I enter Iris' house and I know I'm not welcome here but I owe Iris and apology. I see Y/N on the couch so I decided to go to her.

"Uhm... wh-where's Iris" I asked hesitantly, "why would I tell you?" She asked. "look Y/N, I'm sorry and I really am" I said.

"You should be" she said, "she's in her room"
Y/N answered and I nodded.

I knocked on her room, "come in" I hear her answer from the inside. I open the door and see her drinking wine.

"Join me" she said, "leave the door open just in case" she added. I walked over to her and poured wine onto the other glass.

"I'm just here to say sorry" I started, "I'm sorry if I was selfish and I'm sorry blamed you for everything" I said.

"I never deserved a friend like you, I was too selfish" I said. "You sacrificed for me but all I ever did was to make you suffer" I said.

"I owe you an apology that's why I'm here and I get it if you can forgive me after everything. I promise, I will stay out of your life now" I said.

"That's not what I want" Iris spoke up. "I've forgiven you a long time ago, I knew I had to or else I'd be like you" Iris explained.

"I was scared that if I'd let myself be filled with anger and hatred I would end up wanting to hurt the people around me so I had to find the courage to forgive" Iris said.

"Forgiving takes time so I understand if you'd want revenge" Iris said. "You were not just a best friend to me Donna, you were like a sister to me" Iris added.

I felt like crying, to be honest I missed our friendship, we were like partners in crime, Iris helped me with everything while I defended her from everything.

"I still want my best friend back you know" Iris spoke up which enlightened me. "After everything I've done?" I asked and she nodded.

I feel stupid right now cause I really want to hug her but we're like at our 40s. "Uh.." I wanted to say I wanted a hug but I just felt embarrassed.

She smiled and opened her arms and I hugged her.

"Sorry to interrupt but Maihua just called me" I look over to the door and see Y/N.

"She said Gaonha's awake now and is looking for us" Y/N said. Me and Iris just laughed and followed Y/N out of the room.

Y/N's POV

All of us are now in Gaonha's hospital room and I told Maihua that our moms are now okay.

"Wow I'm glad I got shot or else the two of you would probably still be fighting" Gaonha joked, "well Maihua did help me realize what I've been doing" Donna replied.

Maihua sat beside me and I leaned on her shoulder, "they're finally okay" Maihua said as she kissed my forehead.
