Chapter 4: 𝓯𝓪𝓶𝓲𝓵𝔂 𝓭𝓲𝓷𝓷𝓮𝓻

Right now we are having a family dinner and it is very special for me because it's not like our usual Friday family dinner where in my grand father, mom, and dad ate there because tonight, Maihua is with us.

We have family dinners every Friday night and we usually bond by talking about what happened to our whole week.

How exactly did I get my dad to allow me to invite Maihua to join us? Simple I was upset of him that night when he dragged me back home.

I wasn't talking to him nor was I paying attention to anything he does so he came to me and asked me how can he make up for it. I said give Maihua a chance and invite her for our family dinner and my dad said yes. My father couldn't endure me not talking to him.

"So Maihua, what business is your family running?" My dad asked and I looked to Maihua remembering that she told me that her parents are dead now. But she gave my the look saying she's fine.

"Mr. Anderson, my parents are dead" Maihua answered. "Oh I'm sorry to hear that, well how did you survive by yourself?" My mom asked out of pity.

"I was brought to a foster home but then I left when I was 10, someone took me in like they're own daughter" Maihua explained.

"Are you a scholar?" My dad asked "No, I deal with my own finances" Maihua answered. "How is that?" My dad asked once again. "I have a business of my own" Maihua answered.

My dad just nodded and looked like he had no emotions but I know he is impressed by Maihua. "If you have a business of your own, why do you still need to study?" My dad asked.

"Because I want to learn more" Maihua answered. "Do you happen to know Mason Lee?" My dad asked and I am very confused, who the hell is Mason Lee??

"I'm sorry Mr. Anderson but I'm not familiar of him" Maihua answered. "Who is Mason Lee?" I asked and he looked directly at Maihua.

Maihua's POV

Everything I've been saying for the past several minutes are scripted, me and my uncle prepared for this. If I were to enter Y/N's life, I am supposed to be ready for her father.

"Mason Lee is an old friend" Mr. Anderson answered. Old friend my ass, he has the nerve to call my father his old friend after betraying him.

"Well why did I never heard of him?" Y/N asked "He's dead and everything about him should remain buried with him" Mr. Anderson answered.

"Why? Did he do something unpleasant to you?" I asked him and for the past 5 mins we've been making an eye contact with tension.

"It's none of your business" He answered which made me smirk because this just proves he's hiding something.

Mrs. Anderson seems to be a sweet mom, I don't know how she can handle her husband and why would she fall for a cold blooded man so I assume she is like him.

We never focused on searching on his wife but we knew she also has an illegal business. We are planning to bring her business down first.

"So dessert kids?" Mrs. Anderson asked "no thanks mom" Y/N answered and looked over to me. "No thank you" I said as I smiled.

"How about you Mr. Anderson, how is your business?" I asked "hasn't my daughter told you about it?" He asked and looked over to Y/N.

"I did dad" she answered and looked over to me. "Well I just assume that there are still things about your business your daughter doesn't know" I said and Mrs. Anderson choked on her water.

"What do you mean by that?" Mr. Anderson asked. "I mean is there?" I asked with a smirk. "There isn—" Mr. Anderson didn't finish what he was about to say as his father cut him.

"You my child is very curious" Mr. Anderson's father said. Y/N's grandfather didn't really talk much, he only said one word when I got here and that is 'hello' what he just said a second ago was the longest.

"In this world you need to be the strongest and you need to be feared by everyone" Mr. Anderson's father said. "Meaning?" I asked "you need to kill or you will be killed" he continued.

"Well this is getting intense... so uhm me and Maihua could go to my room" Y/N hesitantly said as she stood up.

"No one will go to your room" Mr. Anderson said "but-" Mr. Anderson didn't let Y/N finish.

"No buts, we invited Maihua to our family dinner to give her a chance but I still don't like her" Mr. Anderson boldly said.

"Seriously dad???" Y/N asked in a frustrated manner, I could see that she was upset. "No it's okay Y/N, I'll just go" I told Y/N.

"No you are not!" Y/N demanded so I just stood there. "Y/N you are not disobeying me again" Mr. Anderson said and stood up.

"Why is it so hard for you, she's just a friend you met and now you're so all over her??" Mr. Anderson asked. Well the 'all over her' part sounds wrong.

"Cause she's important to me okay??" Y/N defended, I didn't really expect that from Y/N. "Am I not? Is your family not??" He asked her.

"Yes but you don't allow me to be happy all you want is what will make you happy" Y/N answered.
"You know what I am not in the mood for this!" Mr. Anderson said as he walked out.

"I'm so sorry" Y/N said as she walked me out the door. "It's okay, I'm fine I'll just text you when I get home" I assured her and smiled at her before I left.

   

I went to AP's apartment, I decided to get drinks aswell. Somehow I feel guilty of doing this, I can see how clueless Y/N is.

She doesn't actually know how evil her family is and now I'm using her to have my revenge. I'm- I.... just.... no I can't be.... I can't be going soft for Y/N.

"You better take care of those feelings" AP spoke out of the blue. "Are you a mind reader now?" I said as a joke. "Maybe" AP answered and we both laughed.

"I mean who wouldn't fall for her" I said "I agree but she may seem sweet, she's still the daughter of the man who killed your father" AP said and I just sat there, troubled with my own thoughts.

Have I fallen for Y/N? But I promised my uncle that I will have revenge. Y/N does make me happy, she gives me emotions not like my old cold self.

I was pretty cold since I grew up around boys and my uncle did nothing but teach me how to fight, use a gun, and everything I need to know to bring down the Andersons.

Did Y/N make my heart melt?? "The thing is, you can use your feeling to gain Y/N's trust" AP said and I was just plain confused.

"If your feelings for her are real, you can make her fall for you" AP said and I'm stuck in my thoughts.
