"Aiden, I think we should help them," Kaida told me, "We have to fight for Cayden." I was filled with sadness in the depths of my heart, "How can I show myself to the Overlord?" I asked them all. "He took my brother from me and I could not do anything about it." The pain grew the more I thought about him. "My family. He took them all away." The more it grew the more tears fell. My heart beating, slowly increasing its speed. "I never met my parents. The only father I knew was Cayden and..." I ran out of breath, words. The hole inside me, the edge breaking more, allowing it to grow.
"It's all my fault he's gone, I did nothing to help." Amelia shot a look at me. "Okay, that's enough. I don't care how upset you are. It's not your fault!" She walked up to me. Filled with anger, "The Overlord is to blame. Cayden told us to leave, and made it so that we wouldn't have a way back in." She seemed to be upset too. I could see the hole in her heart too. Broken, as I am. "You have to let it go. Or Cayden won't rest peacefully." She then slapped me.
"Hey, calm down. Don't get aggressive just because he is upset." Kaida put her hand on Amelia's shoulder. "No, you don't get it. Cayden was a friend of mine. A really good one at that." She pointed at me, "I feel the same way, but I am going to do something about it instead of crying there like a baby!" These words left me standing there. Speechless. Is there anything I can do right? "So with or without you. I'm helping them fight and defeat the Overlord!" I have never seen Amelia react like that. I've known her more than Cayden, but this was a first.
"Aiden, what do you choose to do?" Kaida asked me. "It's okay to blame yourself. That's all one can ever do." Kaida, you've never been this kind. "Just as long as you don't bring yourself down." She smiled at me and held her hand out for me to grab. I took it, "You're right, but..." She countered my rebuttal. "Learn from it, what you did wrong and try again." She seems cheerful, being positive.
"Well, I guess y'all solved your own problems." Hugo set up a table, where he put a map. "Now, will you be willing to join us?" He looked at all of us, hoping we all would agree to help. "Gladly!" Kaida exclaimed, still holding my hand. "Hugo." Amelia looked at me. "His name, Jeremy mentioned it a while back." I hadn't forgotten that he did. He said it wasn't his time yet. Is this what he meant? "We'll talk about this later, Kaida is right." I looked at Hugo, "We will join your team. And we will fight the Overlord, for Cayden."
