My world started to shake. I knew I was waking up. A moment later I was awake but still in that darkness.

"Hey, smiles you awake?" A voice called.

I closed my mouth realizing that I was showing teeth.

"It's numb," I said glad I couldn't feel my arm.

"Glad you're in a better mood," he said.

I giggled slightly. I felt a slightly soft touch of my head, he started to take whatever I had over my eyes off. The light started to seep through each crack of fabric. The light as strange as this was, it seemed to blind me I could see only a bright, it burned. The light source was covered by something, a cool damp cloth touched my head.

"It's okay, I don't want you to stress your eyes out before you get to see anything," the doctor said.

That stupid beeping kept its constant tempo. I could tell it was hooked up to my thumb, I slowly wiggled my thumb with my other fingers trying to get it off, finally, I was successful. I gave a sigh of relief, glad that the beeping had diminished.

"Didn't like that sound huh?" I heard.

"The melody isn't to my liking," I responded.

"Ah, I see. Well why don't we go ahead and remove the rag so you can see," he said pealing the cloth off.

It took only but a few moments for my eyes to adjust. I looked around the room, down at my arm that had been crushed, it looked like hundreds of tiny stitches where sown into my arm. I started to look around for the doctor, after a moment my eyes traveled to a man walking away from where I was in the middle of the room, strapped in the bed. He went to wash his hands.

"So what's your name?" He asked, his back still turned from me.

"I don't have a name, I'm only a project," I responded sadly.

"Hm, interesting to think of yourself in that way, well what would you liked to be called?" He asked turning around.

I looked down and thought for a moment. "Hope," I said. Then I looked up at him, his hair was brown. His skin, tan, his smile was more turned into a smirk. He was tall and his eyes- breathtaking. My head seemed to be forced back to the bed I was laying on. A flash of color zoomed cross my line of vision, so quick, elegant, then black. I quickly blinked finding somehow I literally got lost in his eyes, these blue with swirls of purple mixed in to blend oh so perfectly. Was this normal?
