I followed the Dr. Down the hall and into a room the door was covered with frosted glass. He took a key from his pocket and opened the door. He opened it enough for me to walk in first so he could follow. The room was large and had a lot of like large plastic containers.
"They are made for each need of a specimen." He said.
I looked around and realized in each one a different person was in them. Some males some females but they all looked human.
"What is this?!" I asked quickly thinking of a way to get out in case there idea was to put me in there caged like one of them.
"Chill, you're here to relearn how to use your ability and right now you need to learn how to regenerate your skin," He said picking up a clipboard and looking down at it.
"Hmm, project 72R2Y9, get her prepared and ready," he said in passing with another person.
My eyes were still on all the plastic boxes holding people.
"Are they all... Not normal?" I asked.
He looked up and over from his clipboard.
"Hm? Yes, they aren't human," he said walking to the end of the room which contained a larger box with a tint of black coloring to it.
"Why are they here?" I asked still thinking that they were trying to get me in one calmly.
"We don't need them, we have you." He said looking back down at the clipboard once again. I walked in front of him.
"Why?" I asked.
He stopped and looked up.
"You can grasp their powers, we don't need more bodies to worry about out there, you can handle, well could handle yourself out there better than any of these things." He said as if he had memorized that speech beforehand.
I followed him inside the tinted black box and he closed the door there was another person in there in chains and forced to stay still in the chair. It was a woman with short black hair and larger eyes, but I avoided contact with them.
"So what do I do?" I asked the Dr as he took a seat across from the woman.
"This is going to be tricky but you need to access her DNA code without taking in memories. I don't know how you do it so just try your best and if anything goes wrong blink or snap out of it,"
"So I just look at her eyes and hope for the best?!" I questioned.
"Exactly," he said.
None of this seemed logical or safe but something told me I didn't really care much. I looked at the woman, I realized that she was sedated so she had no idea what was going to happen or what was happening. I took a deep breath and let my eyes slowly drift up to hers.
