A light started to merge from the top of the hole. A voice called down to me.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to leave you alone."
I was shocked more than confused. Someone was apologizing to me. Whatever I was laying on started to rise up to meet him. Once again he extended his hand to my aid.
"I am dreaming," I stated questionably.
"Yes," he said gladly.
"But how are you here?" I asked.
He bowed slightly. "I am Devon," he said smiling.
I nodded.
"Yes, but how are you living in my dream?" I asked.
"Mmm, I promise I'll answer your questions another time. As for now, you don't have much time left here."
I took a deep breath and searched for a reason not to trust him. I found many, it was just my nature. I was about to turn away from him but before my eyes and castle started to form in a mist. I stood in awe of it, it was beautiful. As if from a fairy tale, I was somewhere far away from myself to live my own fairy tale.
"Would you like to go explore it?" He asked already walking in that direction.
I rushed to his side as we made our way to the grand gates of the castle, they were old and had vines growing on it. But as I studied it closed little flower buds started to appear and bloom before my very eyes. Beautiful shades of blue, purple and pinks, golden splotch and tips lined the flowers perfectly.
"What kind are they?" I asked touching one fragile.
"You named them 'galaxys,'" I turned to him.
"I've been here before then?" I asked.
"Yes, this whole place is what you've created, I just helped," He said picking a flower and handing it to me. "Would you care to go inside?"
My adrenalin rushed as I started to run to the door of the castle. Slightly I knocked on the door, it opened for me with eas. Lights from diamond chandeliers lite up the whole room as I walked in. I turned to face Devon, my face reflected the light from the chandeliers.
"This, this is mine?" I asked as if I didn't believe it.
"It's only yours if you make it yours," he said.
I dropped the flower I was holding and ran deeper into the castle. I found a door it had the galaxies vines growing on it. I pushed the door open to find a beautiful waterfall lined by moss-covered stones. The water was clear as crystals and shined like the lights inside. The most breathtaking trees grew next to this place of solitude. Devon walked passed me and smiled.
"You liked to sit on the stones and keep your feet in the water," he said already taking his shoes and socks off and sitting on the stones.
He turned back to look at me. I smiled and ran passed him jumping right into the water. It was deeper than I thought, I started to swim up, kicking my legs to get some air. But I realized I wasn't going up, the silhouette of Devon grew faded and the light started to fade. I was soaked and stinking back into darkness.
