~Chapter 9~

*Sam's p.o.v*

I got home, crying harder then ever. Then, I had a thought as I locked myself in my room.

'It wouldn't hurt. Just a few more cuts. That's all. No one would care, would they? Maybe Corey and Kat. But no one else would...'

I made up my mind, and went into my bathroom, and got out my razor. One cut, 'you're worthless', two cuts, 'no one will ever like you', 3 cuts, 'just go die', four cuts, 'you ugly fag', five cuts, 'Colby will NEVER love you!'

After that 5th cut, my whole world went black, I couldn't hear or see anything. 'Was I dead? Were some people finally going to be happy?'

*Katrina's p.o.v*

Today, both Corey and I noticed that Sam wasn't at school, and neither was Colby. We got a little suspicious, not gonna lie. "I'm gonna go to Sam's after school and make sure he's okay" I told Corey at lunch. "I would go, but you have known Sam for longer, and you also live way closer" He said.

So after school, I got home, had a quick shower, threw on some new clothes, had a bite to eat, and left for Sam's house. I have a key for his house, so when I got there, I unlocked the door and walked straight in.

"Sam?" I asked as I went to his closed bedroom door, I heard no response, so I said, "Sam? Are you in there?" Again, no response, so I opened the door and saw no one in there

I then went to check one of the spare rooms, and found nothing. I looked in the whole house. Except for one room, Sam's bathroom that he doesn't let anyone use, the room he uses to cut himself in.

I started tearing up as I approached the door.
"Sam... Please don't have-" I said as I opened the door and saw a bloody Sam on the ground. I screamed and took out my phone calling 911

I had to check his pulse, and he is luckily still alive, the doctors said they would be here soon. In that time, I texted Corey and told him what happened to Sam, and he said that he would meet me at the hospital

~~At the hospital~~

Once we arrived, the doctors told me to wait in the waiting room, so I went. I saw Corey sitting, and beside him I saw "Colby? What the f*ck are you doing here?!?!" I said in shock

"The same as you!" He told me "Corey told me what you told him, then he came and picked me up"  "Why did you that Corey?" I asked, a bit angrily.

"It's a looong story" He said extending the "long" part, I stood there with a "tell me" look on my face while looking at Colby.

He told me the whole story, from the day they met, to what happened this afternoon

"So that's why you weren't at school" I said, nodding my head. "Y'know, when Sam first told Corey and I that he met a guy, and told us a little bit of what you guys were talking about the first day you met. We thought you guys would make a cute couple" Corey nodded and said, "that's called FACTS"  ((Why am so cringy-))

"And now?" Colby asked. Corey and I looked at each other, and said at the same time, "We still do"  "Are you even gay?" Corey asked "That's not very nice to ask Corey!" I snapped at him, "I don't really mind it, and I have a boyfriend, so there's your answer"

"But just because you have a boyfriend, doesn't mean you're gay, it could also mean you're Bi" Corey stated. "Well I am gay" Colby said in a matter of fact tone. "Who's your boyfriend?" "Does he go to the same school?" Corey and I asked

"If I tell you, y'all are gonna be mad" Once Colby said that, I got the hint. "YOU'RE DATING BRENNEN??!!" I yelled, and Colby just nodded.

"Dude, if Sam finds out, there is like, no hope in y'all being together" Corey said "if you wanna be friends with Sam, don't tell him you're dating him"  "trust me, I won't..."

"Speaking of Sam, have you found anything out yet?" Corey asked Colby, "What do you mean has he found anything out yet?" I then asked

"Well, y'know how Sam left Colby today when they were at that waterpark?" I nodded "well, Colby was asking me if I could talk to him about it. I told Colby I couldn't, cause then Sam would be suspicious, and I told him that he should try and figure it out on his own" now Colby was nodding

"I think I might've figured it out" Colby blurted out, Corey and I looked at him. "I think he left, and got all upset and started crying, cause on the first day, I hit his shoulder, and today I yelled at him, and said that I was gonna kill him if he didn't shut up, but I was only joking" He said

"When you hit him, was it playfully? Or an actual hit?" I asked "it was playful" I believed him, cause I could see regret in his eyes

I looked at Corey with a "Should I tell him?" face, and he gave me a I'm not sure face. "Well? Am I right? Or not?" Colby said angrily and annoyed

"When we are allowed to see Sam, the nurse will probably let us see him, one at a time, if not we will let you guys talk for a little bit after Corey and I see Sam, and TALK. TO. HIM." I said and clapped my hands together in between the words at the end

"Yeah, but what if he doesn't want to talk to me?" He said, tears forming in his eyes. I put my hand on his shoulder, then said, "Trust me Colby, Sam WILL want to talk to to. Do you wanna know how long I've known him for? Over 7 years! And Corey has known him for almost 6! We know Sam, sometimes better then ourselves"

"For Sam Golbach?" We heard a nurse say. "Please come with me" She lead us to a room, we opened the door and saw Sam-
