Yanna

I was sitting on my balcony drinking a glass of wine scrolling through my feed as I came across TSR post about Quincy and his new bitch- oh I mean man bitch or whatever. I was honestly over the situation since its been forever since I found out he was with somebody else besides how can I sit around and think about old news when I have Kairi and Dave in my ear 24/7.

I locked my phone and got up going into the house and I noticed my aunt and uncle were now here sitting around my dining room table talking and laughing with Dave and Kairi

"Ayanna"

"Aunt K, Uncle Radric.. what brings you by." I went to my fridge grabbing the wine bottle pouring another cup for myself and my Aunt.

"Well, we just was out on this side of town and decided to stop by."

"Yanna, your aunt and uncle were talking about your birthday coming, you didn't tell me."

I scoffed sitting her glass by her and took a seat next to David. "I didn't think it was a big deal"

"You know you used to throw the hottest parties for your bday girl, whats your plans for this year."

I held up my wine glass "I'll be fine sitting here relaxing this year."

My aunt rolled her eyes "Oh c'mon Yanna don't be boring, maybe you and David could do something together I mean he's been cozying up here after all."

"Aunt K, I'm only turning 24 there's nothing special about that but who knows I may go all out. I just haven't thought about it yet."

She shrugged and took her wine to the head heading over to the sink to place her glass in. "Alright, well let us know. C'mon Radric don't think I forgot you said you'd take me to this new mall."

My uncle sighed getting up from the table "Yes, darling. How could I forget, Yanna think about it."

"Okay, I will. See y'all later."

That night I kept thinking about what was the big deal of them pressing me about my birthday. The older I got the less I cared about a crowd. I hope they didn't have anything crazy up their sleeves knowing them too.
I shrugged it off while I went to the bathroom for a scrunchie to tie my hair up with when David stood in the door frame.

"Yes?"

"Are you still mad about the other day?"

I shook my head no. "Why"

"Cause you haven't been talking alot since then. I know it was a mistake-"

"David, its cool foreal. I'm just not used to nobody sticking up for me like that."

"Just always know I got you, especially with your Uncle on my ass I can't let nobody punk me for you."

I laughed and turned off the bathroom light pushing pass him to make my way to the bed before he turned me around.

"I mean it."

"I know David, I know."
