I am sitting in my truck in Kia's driveway waiting for her to come out so we can head to the bar for the show. Finally she slowly walks out of the front door like she is sneaking out. I smile, not because I am looking at her, but because she dressed grown up, not like a slut. She gets in my truck and throws her arms around my neck in a hug. “Thank you so much for letting me come tonight!”

I smile at her. “I'm just glad that you didn't dress like most girls do at a bar or club.”

She smiles at me then winks, “Of course I didn't. I can pull it off.” She takes off her jacket and I see that she is in a pair of Miss Me Jeans and a belly shirt. I give her a look saying I don't approve but she says, “Listen okay, I know you look at me like a little sister, but others guys see me as attractive and I'm almost eighteen so it doesn't matter.”

I roll my eyes and drive away. I know I am going to have problems with her tonight, I mean she looks hot and other people will think so too. She has never been in a bar so she doesn't know what to do or how to act when someone won't take no for an answer.

“Okay, I just have to pick up Kathy and then we are good to go,” I say testing the water. I know that my truck is small and doesn't have the extended cab so I am a little worried about how this is going to work. Kia just smiles at me and I relax a little bit.

We make small talk all the way to Kathy's house and I honk the horn waiting for her. She quickly comes out and I notice she is dressed very similarly to Kia, but Kia looks better. I shake my head and Kia asks, “What's wrong?”

“Nothing just got a cold chill.”

She nods her head and opens the door to let Kathy in. Kathy looks at me then looks at her, “Um do you mind if I sit in the middle? Sitting by the window with three people in the truck makes me car sick.”

“That's fine!” Kia chirps as she gets out of the truck to let Kathy in the middle. I see something flash across their faces as they pass each other but I try to play it off as smiles even though they were venom filled.

“So Kathy, how have you been?” Kia asks.

“I've been good. Just a little busy is all.”

“Good. How's the modeling going?”

“Good, hard work though.” Kia laughs and I shoot her a look as I check to make sure there are no cars coming. She shrugs her shoulders and Kathy says, “What was the laugh for?”

“What is so hard about modeling? I mean you have to smile at a camera and pose?”

I put my hand on Kathy's knee and she lies her head on my shoulder as if making a point that I am hers. I smile and say, “So did you guys eat yet or do you want to stop somewhere?”

Kathy answers, “I've ate.” At the same time that Kia says, “I'm starving.”

I laugh and pull into Chcik-Fil-A, because I know that it is Kia's favorite. She smiles and heads inside. I look at Kathy and ask, “Are you coming or not?”

“Do I have too?”

I roll my eyes and get out of the truck. Kathy can't ruin this night for me. This is an important show for us as a band. This show determines if we open up for Hunter Hayes or not. They are having auditions for local bands to audition for their local show date and we entered and tonight is our audition. We have to be awesome and that won't happen if Kathy starts a fight and she knows it.

I walk in and Kia is still standing in line. I sneak up behind her and put my hands on her shoulders. “Hey sis, what's up?”

She jumps and says, “Gosh don't do that to me! It's not nice!”
