You tried your best to deliver the lesson, but you couldn't stop thinking about Rosie.
"Today's lesson is about adjectives and adverbs. Minho, can you read the first sentence in the textbook please?"
"Ok Mr/Ms (y/n). The roses looked beautiful on the hot summer day".
"Well done, thank you" you said, writing the sentence on the board while your thoughts drifted back to that beautiful blonde girl.
You noticed your students were staring at the board. A couple giggled. You turned to face the board where you saw you had accidentally written "Rosie looked beautiful on the hot summer date."
"Oops" you said embarrassed, quickly fixing the sentence. Ah, what is this girl doing to me, you thought.
You wondered what she was doing right now. You wondered what exactly her job was at the entertainment company. You knew South Korea was famous for its dramas and kpop, maybe it was to do with that. The girl was just such a mystery.
In the next couple weeks you doubled down hitting the gym and studying Korean. Soon you could have basic conversations, which you practiced with strangers on the bus and at a sports pub you went to after work. You wanted to impress Rosie with your improved fitness and Korean next time you met. The two of you had been texting regularly, but she was slow at replying and always seemed too busy to hang out.
