19 - DREAM II

As your plane lifted off the runway you felt proud of yourself. You had taken a risk to come to a foreign country where you barely spoke the language, but you had succeeded and had some awesome experiences along the way.

You should've felt satisfied with accomplishing your goals, but as you watched Seoul shrink further and further below you, you felt something pulling you back to the city. It was the uneasy feeling that you had left something behind. You tried to shake the feeling and sleep on the plane, but as your thoughts transitioned into dreams, the feeling was still there.

In the dream you found yourself back in the same place as last time, the warm summer beach with the waves and sunshine. This time everything was a little clearer. You recognized the beach; it was the one in New Zealand where your family used to vacation when you were young.

You saw two people who must've been your parents, smiling at you as you joined the other children playing on the beach. You couldn't quite recognize any of them, but you felt really happy around them so they must've been your friends.

You realized there was one of them in particular that you were drawn to; you didn't know why, but you knew you had to go over and see them. They were talking to you, but it was still too blurry to see their face or hear what they were saying. All you knew was that it sounded lovely and it gave you a feeling of pure joy.

Suddenly the scene changed. You hadn't left the beach, but now it was cold and stormy and whoever you had been talking to had left. Your parents were still there though; they were saying something to you, something you couldn't hear clearly but it gave you an overwhelming feeling of sadness. It felt like a part of you was gone - it was so intense that it woke you up.
