You felt numb and hollow as the dream faded and you returned to the emptiness of the coma. Everything seemed cruel and unfair, and your will to keep fighting was gone. You felt yourself sinking deeper and deeper, drowning in the darkness as your mind faded away.
Just as the curtains on your life were about to close your mind found something to hold on to. It was a sound - a distant sound, one that you hadn't heard in very a long time.
It had so much angelic grace that it vanquished your despair, filling you with strength and hope instead. It slowly pulled you back out of the darkness. As it got closer you began to hear it more clearly:

You slowly opened your eyes to see Rosie, now all grown up, singing to you beside your hospital bed as she held your hand. Your eyes met, and suddenly everything made sense.
You could see everything in each others eyes, all those precious childhood memories that had been repressed came flooding back. You and Rosie fell into each other's arms, sobbing and gripping each other like you would never let go.
"I... thought I'd lost you" she whispered through her tears.
"You almost did... but I was saved by the voice of an angel - your voice Rosie."
She looked at you, her pretty eyes filled with tears and an expression that could only be described as true love.
You kissed, feeling every delicate sensation from Rosie's soft lips. There was so much love in the kiss. It was a love so strong that it had survived across oceans for over 15 years, patiently waiting for its chance to return. You caressed each other affectionately, enjoying the warmth of your bodies against each other.
Rosie sighed softly, letting you know how much she was enjoying it. You responded, pouring your love into her lips as you kissed more passionately. You ran your hands over each other, savoring the feeling of your lover's skin. You wanted to feel every part of her, smell her lovely fragrance, taste her delicate lips.
At last you pulled apart, gazing at Rosie's angelic face like she was the most precious thing in your world, which of course she was. Her almond shaped, dark chocolate eyes gazed back full of emotion as she remembered the promise she had made all those years ago.
"I promised I would always be here for you (y/n), remember?"
"I remember everything now."
It was at that moment you and Rosie knew you were tied together by fate and would be soulmates forever. You had been all along.
"Roseanne Park, you will always be my sunshine."
