I wake up with my head on Shane's shoulder. I don't even remember how we all went to sleep. I blush slightly at the thought that we slept like this the whole night. Wait, what?! Why am I blushing? I shouldn't be blushing. A subconscious voice in my mind says, 'maybe because it's SHANE.'
Well, I have to be honest, even though he is almost like my brother, keyword being almost, I've always found him hot. And mind you, not hot like 'my friend is hot'. No, hot as in 'phewww it's steaming in here'
I know, I know, having a crush on someone you've known all your life and probably looks at you like a little sister isn't the most sorted thing in the world, but hey! It's the 21st century. And it's not as if we are blood-related or anything!
While thinking all this, I see him stir in sleep and the others are starting to wake up too. So, I push the thought away and head towards the kitchen in search of some cereal to eat. Even after eating so much last night, I am hungry. [Foodie with pride bruh!] Just as I pour the milk in my cereal, I see Tess coming into the kitchen, her hair all over the place and her eyes still half-closed. I laugh at the sight of her and she grumbles even more.
"Ugh, stop laughing! Way too much noise early in the morning."
"Stop being dramatic," I tell her as I pass her favourite cereal to her, knowing it will get her started for the day, it always does.
"I haven't even brushed." She talks to herself "Aaaghh, the fuck, I'm hungry, I don't care."
So, with that, we sit down to have cereal and go to wake the others up. I nudge Shane and Sheldon in attempts to wake them up. Tessa, however, has different plans.
"GOOD MORNINGGGGG PEOPLE OF THE WORLDDDDD!" she yells in the middle of the room and everybody wakes up with a jolt. She rubs her palms as if shirking off the sand and smirks at the irritated faces. "And that's how it's done." She takes a bow and we both start laughing at her stupidity and the looks on these faces.
After some time, we leave the house to have breakfast. All of us fill our tummies to the brim with beautiful, delicious food and we head to the park nearby to sit in the morning sun for some time.
Although, all we do is disturb the other joggers and elderly people who came to the park for some peace in the morning. Even sitting there and facing judgemental looks constantly, it didn't stop us from laughing our asses off at every lame joke one of us made. It was almost as if we were drunk.
Also, Tessa was acting so weird. When I asked her about it, she said, "Somebody's got a crush."
"What do you mean?"
She points at Shane and a red glow creeps into my face.
"I don't have a crush on him."
"OMG!!!! YOU HAVE A---" before she can say anything, I put my hand on her mouth.
"You deaf idiot, I said I don't!"
"Oh, honey, you so do. I was talking about him having a crush on you. I never said anything about you. And that blush says quite a lot." She looks at me, knowing she is right and that there is no comeback to that.
Tessa just smiles and whispers, "Damn girl. You're such a secretive bitch." She laughs and adds, "Don't worry. The weekend house will give you plenty of time to spend together."
"Weekend house?"
She indicates me to wait and then calls out to the group.
"My girls and the two of you, I don't feel like just sitting around at home this weekend. So, why don't we go to my dad's weekend house and we'll spend the two days there. We can all chill there. There are many rooms so we'll all be well accommodated too."
Everyone is excited at the mention of a few days away from home. We all agree and quickly plan everything that is required. After buying everything necessary for 2 days, we head to our respective homes and agree on meeting in an hour or two. We take all the stuff with us as we agreed on going there in Shane's and in Tessa's car, simply because there would be too much stuff to take.
THANK YOU FOR READING. I HOPE ALL OF YOU ARE HAVING A GREAT DAY AND A GREAT WEEK!
