*Tess's POV*
"And you'll call every night." My mum said for the umpteenth time.
"Yes, ma. I'll call you both every night before going to bed, I'll always have my locations on and I will keep my eating habits healthy. You said it all like a million times already. I'll be fine. Stop worrying." I tell her and hug her. She calms down and smiles at me. I hug dad next and I kiss him on the cheek.
"You two take care alright peeps?" I tell them.
"Lady, I want no funny business down there in absence of our supervision." Dad reminds me.
"Dad, Sheldon will be in San Francisco."
"Oh, right." Dad says and chuckles lightly as I roll my eyes.
I go to bid farewell to Anna and Ali's parents when Anna's mom calls the three of us forward.
"Look, girls. I know Anna will be away from you. You will have a long distance friendship, if you take it that way. Anna is only 2 hours away, but you girls are going very much far from your homes. I know there may be situations which you girls cannot share with us. But, do remember to stick with each other no matter what. The three of you should always be one call away from each other. Don't let the distance break down the bond you three have made in these months. Okay?"
My heart melts at her concern and I smile earnestly at her before agreeing to her.
"Oh ad do find a boyfriend for Anna. Her life is turning boring." She adds as she winks at me.
"Mom! I already have one!" Anna yells and all of laugh at her obvious discomfort.
"We'll still keep our eyes open." Ali says and we laugh again. Anna slaps her hand on her forehead before saying,
"What did I get myself into?" we roll out laughing even harder at that while she stands there, her arms crossed in front of chest and tapping her foot on the ground, impatiently waiting for us to shut up, her expression far from happy or amused. Looking at her, we try to shut up and suppress our grins.
"May we go now?" she says, shooting daggers from her eyes at us.
"Yes. Sorry. Come on, let's get going." Ali says as we head to the car finally.
"Yeah. You never know when the right guy may slip away due to the delay." I mutter under my breath but Anna catches it. Even the parents laugh at this and not being able to hold back anymore, Anna laughs too.
"Damn, I can't wait to get rid of your antics." She says between laughs.
"I'll miss you too, darling." I tell her with a sweet tone just to mock her.
We get into the car, ready to head towards our future.
