Now, to be fair in Star's mind that dinner was going a lot different than how it was really going. She saw her two best friends sitting hiding their hands under the table and talking under their breath and she thought that they must be so tired of hiding themselves. Her intentions were good, no matter how awful it was to share a secret that big.

All the blood rushed out of Marco's body. His face went pale and he dropped Tom's hand, his eyes widening. Everyone at the table stayed silent, staring at Marco. He could feel their eyes on him, the feeling made his skin crawl. He wanted to rip out his own eyes. No, no, he wanted to run. He wanted to run away to his bedroom and hide under the bed until everything disappeared and he was just completely alone. Still blank faced Marco stood up, pushing his chair out, and without saying a word he walked out of the room.

When Tom heard the words come out of Star's mouth he tightened his grip on Marco's hand and he head snapped over, finally looking at Marco. If he had looked at him earlier in the argument he would've seen how panicked Marco truly was. Tom wished he could ease his anxiety easier. He hated to see Marco so scared of everything around him. He tightened the grip on his boyfriends hand and squeezed three times. I love you. They hadn't said it out loud yet, but Marco and Tom both knew that three squeezes meant I love you. Tom expected Marco to squeeze back like he always did, but instead he dropped his hand.

Nothing hurt Tom more than the moment when Marco let go of his hand. He let go of his hand and suddenly Tom felt empty. He watched the boy stand up and walk out, leaving Tom to make eye contact with Star.

"Tom, I-" Star started, beginning to defend herself. Moon and River kept the confused shocked looks across their faces as they stayed frozen in their seats.

"Save it, Star." Tom shot, cutting her off before standing up himself. "Thank you for the dinner, it was lovely. I'm afraid I have to go now though." He smiled at the hosts of this incredibly uncomfortable dinner party.

Tom walked up to Marco's room and opened the door. Marco's leg stuck out from under the bed and Tom sighed. He laid on the ground next to him. "Are you alright?" He asked. He seemed to always be asking that lately. Marco stared blankly at him.

"I...don't know." Marco answered. Finally, after feeling like he would cry all night, his eyes started watering. "I wasn't ready." He cried, sobbing softly. Tom's face softened and he reached out and pulled Marco out from under the bed and into his arms.

"It's going to be okay."

"Marco's..." Moon's voice trailed off as she brushed off her skirt. "Well erm, isn't that information that should have come from Marco?" She asked.

"Yes, yes i think that would have been delivered better from him. Less of a shock." River agreed. Star stared at the plate in front of her.

"I was just trying to help." She murmured. Moon nodded.

"I'm sure you were my dear, I'm just also sure Marco would've much rather told us all that himself." Moon smiled softly and stood up, walking over to her daughter. "It will be alright, I'm sure Tom will.... will handle it." She spoke as she pulled Star into a hug.

"Honestly, I think we all already knew that. Tom and Marco have been awfully close lately. Not to mention sneaky." River grinned. Moon snapped her head around.

"Not a good time dear." She reminded, petting Star's head. "I'd just give them both a while to sort out their own thoughts. We should all do that."

Star nodded and sighed into her mothers arms. It was going to be excruciatingly difficult for her to apologize for this one. She really did think she was doing the right thing. Her mother pulled away and let go of her.

"You should probably go up to your room, get some rest after all that erm... excitement." Moon sighed. "It will make things easier." She assured. Star nodded and walked back to her room, only getting to the door before she was met with Tom.

"What was that about Star?" He asked, she could tell he was angry. She tried really hard to not make him angry. "You knew we weren't ready for people to know about us so instead you just out Marco to practically everyone in the castle? You don't think that was a bad idea?" He asked. Star shook her head.

"It wasn't the whole castle, I just told my parents. And I thought it would be helpful, like the start to you guys telling everyone else." Star explained.

"Star, it was in the middle of dinner. Every servant is around during dinner. And you said it loud enough for them all to hear. And no matter how good of an idea you thought it was or how good your intentions were, it wasn't your place." Tom frowned. "And now I don't know if I'll ever get Marco out of his room again. You made him- He's crying."

Star was taken aback. She never meant to make Marco  cry, she just wanted to help. She didn't understand how she had screwed it up so badly. Usually all her ideas work out so well. She opened her mouth to speak but, she didn't know what to even say. Tom shook his head and walked back down the hall.

"I'm going back to taking care of Marco, we can talk more later I guess." Tom waved as he made his way back to his crying boyfriend.

His crying boyfriend that was now laying in a ball in his bed under his blankets, a pillow laid on top of his head as he cried hugging his other one. Tom frowned as he walked into the room, seeing it all in front of him. He walked over to the bed and slid into it behind Marco, wrapping his arms around him.

"I told you, it's going to be okay." He soothed.
